Nick Cicek has been recalled from the San Jose Barracuda (AHL).

Cicek will replace the injured defenseman Radek Simek who was placed on injured reserve Monday. In 10 games with San Jose of the AHL, Cicek has yet to pick up a point but has 10 PIMs and is a -4 plus/minus. He will make his NHL debut if he draws into the Sharks lineup whenever that may be.

Josh Bailey will not be in the lineup Monday and is a healthy scratch.

Bailey did not take part in the pregame skate Monday and will miss the Islanders game vs. Ottawa Monday after being announced a healthy scratch. In 15 games so far this season, the 33-year-old has three goals and five points with a +3 plus/minus rating and 23 SOG.

Talbot stopped 37 of 38 shots (.974 SV%) for his first win of the 2022-23 season as he beat Philadelphia his last time between the pipes. He is 1-2-0 after returning from injury last week posting a .925 SV% and 2.35 GAA in his first four games with the Senators. He faces off against the New York Islanders who have won three of their last four after topping Columbus 4-3 their last time out in overtime.

Varlamov stopped 37 of 40 shots (.925 SV%) his last time out in a winning effort over the New York Rangers. He has had a strong start to the season with a 3-2-0 record along with a .913 SV% and 2.93 GAA. He takes on the struggling Ottawa Senators who won their last time out vs. Philadelphia to snap a seven-game losing streak prior.

Tyler Bertuzzi is expected to play Tuesday vs. Anaheim.

Bertuzzi has been out since the second game of the season when he broke his hand and was a pleasant face to see a return to Red Wings practice Tuesday. It was a tough loss for both the Red Wings and Bertuzzi after he put up his first 30/30 season last year finishing with 62 points (30G/32A) in 68 games in 2021-22. Prior to breaking his hand, he picked up one assist and four SOG in two games.

Calvin de Haan will be a healthy scratch Monday vs. Chicago.

de Haan will head to the press box as Maxime Lajoie enters the lineup for his first game of the season. Through nine games de Haan has a goal and an assist with a -2 rating while occupying Carolina's bottom pairing of their defensive unit.

Simek had played in each of the Sharks' 17 games so far this season, picking up a goal and a -8 plus/minus rating while occupying their bottom defensive pair most nights. He heads to the injured reserve with an undisclosed injury and will be out at least a week until there are more results on his injury status.

Lajoie was called up yesterday from the Chicago Wolves where he was the captain of the team. In 10 games this season with Chicago (AHL) he has four assists and four PIMs while racking up a -3 plus/minus rating.

Allison missed the Flyers' game Sunday due to a lower-body injury that he had picked up in Saturday's game vs. Ottawa. The 25-year-old was placed on the injured reserve and will miss the next few games after scoring three goals and four points in 14 games to start the season.

Matt Murray will return from a hip injury and start Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh.

Murray has not taken the crease since October 12th due to a hip injury that kept him out for the last month. He will return to the Leafs' crease Tuesday as a welcome addition as Toronto is currently without Ilya Samsonov due to injury as well. In one game prior to his hip injury, Murray allowed four goals on 23 shots (.826 SV%) in a losing effort vs. Montreal.
