Quick will get the start Monday as the King's head to Detroit to take on the Red Wings. The 36-year-old veteran will be looking to enter the win column for the first time in 2022-23 and lower his high 3.58 GAA closer to the 2.42 GAA he has averaged throughout his 16-year career.

Husso will get the start Monday against the Los Angeles Kings at home. The Red Wing's $14,250,000 offseason acquisition enjoyed a perfect debut with the Wings Friday, stopping 29 of 29 Montreal shots on the way to his fourth career shutout in a 3-0 victory. He will look to continue his domination of the crease Monday and keep the Red Wings' surprising undefeated record intact.


Shesterkin takes the crease for the New York Rangers as they host Anaheim at home Monday. The 2021-22 Vezina winner will be looking to keep his undefeated record alive after stopping 33 of 36 shots in a 7-3 win over the Wild on Friday. He faces a Ducks team coming off a tough 7-1 loss in their previous matchup against the Islanders.

Välimäki will make his Coyotes' debut a week after being claimed off waivers from the Calgary Flames. The 24-year-old Finnish defenseman will be taking the spot of Scott Timmins who is day-to-day with an injury. Through 82 career games, he has three goals and 16 points to go along with 48 PIMs.

Vejmelka draws the start Monday as the winless Arizona Coyotes head to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs. The second-year netminder has struggled mightily in his first two starts of 2022-23 producing a .884 SV% as well as a shockingly high 5.54 GAA. He will look to get the Coyotes in the win column for the first time after they beat the Maple Leafs in both of their meetings in 2021-22.

Ilya Mikheyev will return to the Canucks lineup Tuesday to make his Vancouver debut after missing their opening two games with a lower-body injury. Mikheyev signed a 4 year, $19,000,000 contract with the Canucks in the offseason after scoring 21 goals and 32 points in 53 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Andersen likely gets the nod as the 2-0-0 Hurricanes head to Seattle Monday to take on the Kraken. The 33-year-old veteran will get his second start of 2022-23 after stopping 31 of 32 shots in the Hurricanes' opening night win against Columbus.

Grubauer gets the start Monday as Seattle hosts the high-powered Carolina Hurricanes at home. The 11-year-veteran struggled mightily in the Krakens opening night loss to Anaheim, stopping 22 of 27 shots before losing 5-4 in overtime. He came in for relief against Vegas on Saturday, stopping six of six shots with Seattle taking the 5-2 loss.

Grubauer is likely to get the start Monday as Seattle hosts the high-powered Carolina Hurricanes at home. The 11-year-veteran struggled mightily in the Krakens opening night loss to Anaheim, stopping 22 of 27 shots before losing 5-4 in overtime. He came in for relief against Vegas on Saturday, stopping six of six shots with Seattle taking the 5-2 loss.

Skinner should draw his first start of the season Tuesday as the Oilers host the Sabres on home ice. The Edmonton native was phenomenal in relief of Jack Campbell Saturday stopping all 31 of 31 shots while limiting the damage in the Oilers' 4-3 loss to Calgary. He enjoyed a strong first rookie season in 2021-22, collecting a .913 SV% while winning six of 12 starts.

Hellebuyck will draw his second start of the early season as Winnipeg heads to Dallas for a Central division matchup. The Jets' netminder was sensational in Winnipeg's opening night victory over the New York Rangers, stopping 40 of 41 shots en route to a 4-1 victory. He will look to keep his hot play going after finishing 2021-22 with a .910 SV%.

Timmins suffered an upper-body injury in Boston on Saturday and did not return. Timmins is listed as day-to-day, so he is not expected to play Monday in Toronto. Expect Patrik Nemeth to replace him.
