Robby Fabbri will be out of the Red Wings lineup Saturday and is optimistic to return this season (lower-body).

Fabbri left the Red Wings' previous game after just 4:48 TOI due to a lower-body injury and is will now not play Saturday but is expected to return to the lineup at some point this season. The 27-year-old has seven goals, nine assists, 35 SOG, 22 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 28 games this season.

Austin Czarnik has been recalled from Grand Rapids (AHL) under emergency conditions.

Czarnik has 13 goals, 23 assists, eight PIMs and a -4 plus/minus through 42 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) and has been recalled Friday on an emergency basis to Detroit. The 30-year-old returns to Detroit, where he had a 12 game showing earlier in the season, picking up two goals and an assist to go along with 13 SOG.

Bobrovsky will start Friday vs. the Blackhawks.

Bobrovsky stopped 31 of 32 shots (.969 SV%) for his third win in four games as he beat Vegas in his previous start. The 34-year-old has steadily improved his season numbers as of late and now has a respectable 20-17-2 record, 2.93 GAA and .907 SV%. He will face Chicago, who has lost five of their last six games after a 4-3 loss to Detroit last game and are last in the NHL in goals per game (2.48).

Georgiev led the Avalanche onto the ice for warmups.

Georgiev was perfect in his previous start, picking up his fourth shutout of the season with a 13-save shutout over San Jose. The 27-year-old has been fantastic in his first season as a starter and in Colorado, with his 27-13-5 record, 2.60 GAA and .920 SV%. He will face the Los Angeles Kings, who have won four-straight games and are 10th in the NHL in goals per game (3.32).

Kochetkov led the Hurricanes onto the ice for warmups.

Kochetkov's last Hurricane start was on January 15th, and he took the overtime loss after stopping 29 of 23 shots (.906 SV%) from the Vancouver Canucks. The 23-year-old rookie has been great in his limited fill-in appearances this season, with his 10-4-5 record, 2.33 GAA and .913 SV%. He will face the Philadelphia Flyers, who have lost five of their last six contests and are 29th in goals per game in the NHL (2.62).

Eric Comrie will start Thursday vs. Dallas.

Comrie allowed three goals on 36 shots (.917 SV%) for his fourth-straight win as he beat Tampa Bay in his previous start. The 27-year-old Sabres' third netminder has struggled in his limited showings this season, with his 8-8-0 record, 3.56 GAA and .885 SV%. He will face the Dallas Stars, who snapped a three-game winning streak with a 5-4 loss to Calgary in their last game.

Akira Schmid will start Thursday vs. Washington.

Schmid allowed three goals on 27 shots (.889 SV%) for his fifth loss in six starts as he was defeated by the Vegas Golden Knights. The 22-year-old has been sensational despite his recent losses, with his 6-4-1 record, 2.00 GAA and .926 SV%. He will face the Washington Capitals, who lost their last game 4-2 to Los Angeles and are 20th in the NHL in goals per game (3.08).

Alex Nylander has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Nylander was originally recalled on an emergency basis and collected one assist, two SOG and a +2 plus/minus while playing 14:56 TOI in his only game. He is expected to be back up with the Penguins at some point this year after his strong one-game showing.

Kirill Kaprizov will be out for 3-4 weeks with a lower-body injury.

Kaprizov was forced to leave Wednesday's contest vs. Winnipeg after just 14:50 TOI due to a lower-body injury after he got tangled up with Winnipeg defender Logan Stanley. It is a massive loss for the Wild as they lose their leading scorer, who had 39 goals, and 35 assists, alongside 250 SOG, 45 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 65 games prior to his injury.

Sammy Walker has been recalled from the Iowa Wild (AHL).

Walker has 24 goals, 20 assists, 23 PIMs and a +17 plus/minus through 50 games played with the Iowa Wild (AHL) this season and has been recalled to Minnesota. The 23-year-old has played in six games this season with Minnesota, and has a goal, five SOG and a +2 plus/minus.
