Martinook has been out since December 2nd but is expected to play this afternoon vs. the Canucks. Martinook is expected to skate on the fourth line with Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Nino Niederreiter.

Cernak suffered a lower-body injury on Thursday vs. the Canucks and is questionable to play Saturday vs. the Stars. According to head coach Jon Cooper, Ryan McDonagh, who is also a game-time decision, has a better chance of playing than Cernak.



McDonagh has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury but will be a game-time decision on Saturday. Monitor his status as the Lightning hit the ice for warmups at 6:30 PM ET.

Johnston will not be available until next Friday's game vs. the Coyotes. Matt Martin will likely draw back into the Islanders lineup on Saturday.

Brown was hit in the face with a puck in warmups on Wednesday and played the game with a broken jaw, scoring one goal with one assist in 19:28 TOI. He'll miss some time according to head coach DJ Smith but could be replaced by Tim Stützle (COVID-19 protocol) on Saturday.

Landeskog has missed the last three games while in COVID-19 protocol but is expected to play Saturday. Landeskog, who has 31 points (12G / 19A) in his last 21 games, will be back on the top line and top power-play unit.

Engvall missed the last three games while in the COVID-19 protocol list but is set to play Saturday in St. Louis. Engvall will replace Nick Ritchie (COVID-19 protocol) in the bottom-6.

Marner missed the last two games while in the COVID-19 protocol list but is set to play Saturday in St. Louis. Marner will replace Ondrej Kase (COVID-19 protocol) on the top line and top power-play unit.

Ritchie was one of three players added to the COVID-19 protocol list and will not be available on Saturday. Pierre Engvall (COVID-19 protocol) is expected to be back in the lineup to replace Ritchie.

Kase was one of three players added to the COVID-19 protocol list and will not be available on Saturday. Mitch Marner (COVID-19 protocol) is expected to be back in the lineup to replace Kase.

Holl was one of three players added to the COVID-19 protocol list and will not be available on Saturday. Timothy Liljegren is expected to be back in the lineup to replace Holl.
