Schmaltz suffered an upper-body injury in the Coyotes game in Dallas on Wednesday. Schmaltz has been on a heater as of late, scoring four goals with three assists (seven points) on a five-game point streak.

Grubauer stopped 16 of 17 shots (.941 SV%) in a rare relief win as he beat the Detroit Red Wings last night. The 31-year-old has been steadily improving his rough early season numbers, with his now 9-11-3 record, 3.05 GAA and .894 SV%. He will face the Columbus Blue Jackets, who have won two of their last three games but are 30th in the NHL in scoring (2.59).

Chiasson had nine goals, 20 points, 14 PIMs, and a +6 plus/minus through 29 games this season with Grand Rapids (AHL) and has signed a one-year, one-way contract worth $750,000. He played 67 games for the Vancouver Canucks in 2021-22, scoring 13 goals and 22 points.

Lankinen is 13-7-5 with a .922 SV% and 2.58 GAA in his first season as Nashville's backup goalie and has signed a one-year, $2.0 million contract extension. The 27-year-old is in his third NHL season.

Nedeljkovic was 9-7-2 with a .909 SV% and a 2.89 GAA with the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) and has been recalled under emergency conditions to the Red Wings. He previously played nine games with Detroit this season, posting a 2-4-2 record, .880 SV% and 2.89 GAA.

Domi was acquired in a trade late Thursday and will make his Dallas debut Saturday vs. Colorado. The 28-year-old has 18 goals, 31 assists, 143 SOG, 76 PIMs and a -9 plus/minus through 60 games played with Chicago this season.

Hellebuyck allowed five goals on 37 shots (.865 SV%) for his third-straight loss as he was defeated by Los Angeles in his last start. The 29-year-old has been great this season despite his recent struggles, with his 26-18-2 record, 2.52 GAA and .922 SV%. He takes on the Edmonton Oilers, who won their last game 5-2 over Toronto and are top in the NHL in goals per game (3.82).

Kalynuk had four goals, 13 assists, 46 PIMs and a +5 plus/minus through 46 games with the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL) and has been traded to the New York Rangers for future considerations.

Rydahl has seven goals, eight assists, 32 PIMs and a +3 plus/minus through 40 games with Hartford (AHL) and has been traded to Colorado for Anton Blidh. The 28-year-old has yet to play in an NHL game throughout his career.

Blidh had no points, four PIMs and nine SOG through 14 games with the Colorado Avalanche and has been traded to the New York Rangers for Gustav Rydahl. The 27-year-old has 12 points (4G/8A) through 84 career NHL games.

Gustaffson hasn't played since January 10th due to an upper-body injury and has been activated off the injured reserve Friday. The 22-year-old centre has five assists, 36 SOG, and six PIMs through 38 games played this season prior to his injury.

Sustr returns to Anaheim after finishing the 2021-22 season with the Ducks. He's spent the entirety of this season with Iowa (AHL), registering two goals and ten assists in 39 games this season.

Husso has a 23-15-6 record, 2.95 GAA and .903 SV% this season but will be out of the Red Wings' lineup vs. the New York Islanders Saturday. The 28-year-old is considered day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.

After signing a one-year contract with the Ducks in the off-season, Klingberg moves on from a disastrous 50-game stint in Anaheim. He scored eight goals and added 16 assists in those 50 games while posting a plus/minus of -28. The 30-year-old will look to regain the form he showed across his eight seasons in Dallas, where he registered 374 points across 552 games.

Sandin was acquired from the Maple Leafs on Tuesday in exchange for Erik Gustafsson and a 2023 first-round pick. The 22-year-old was selected 29th overall by the Maple Leafs in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He registered ten goals and 38 assists across 140 career games with the Leafs. His offensive production could see a boost in Washington if he's able to get some ice time with Alexander Ovechkin on the Caps' top power-play unit.

Ritchie had six goals, two assists, 23 PIMs and 46 SOG and has been traded alongside Connor Mackey to Arizona for Troy Stecher and Nick Ritchie. The 29-year-old has 375 NHL games of experience over nine NHL seasons.

Mackey had two goals, three points, nine PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 10 games with the Calgary Flames and has been traded alongside Brett Ritchie for Troy Stecher and Nick Ritchie. The 26-year-old has 29 career NHL games across 19 games played.

Ritchie has nine goals, 12 assists, 87 SOG, 43 PIMs and a -15 plus/minus through 58 games played with the Arizona Coyotes and has been traded alongside Troy Stecher for Connor Mackey and Brett Ritchie. The 27-year-old now joins his fourth NHL team across 465 career NHL games.
