Snively has a goal, two assists, 13 SOG, and a +1 plus/minus through nine games played but will be the odd man out of the Capitals' lineup Wednesday vs. Buffalo. The 27-year-old is replaced by a healthy Alex Ovechkin (lower body) in Washington's lineup.

Ovechkin missed the Capitals' game Tuesday vs. the New York Rangers with a lower-body injury and is taking the warmup Wednesday vs. Buffalo after being a game-time decision. The veteran winger has 36 goals, 62 points, 258 SOG, 28 PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 62 games this season.

Luukkonen stopped 24 of 26 shots (.923 SV%) for his third-straight loss as he was beaten by the New York Rangers in his previous start. The 24-year-old rookie netminder has been up-and-down this season, with his 15-10-3 record, 3.54 GAA and .895 SV%. He will face the Washington Capitals, who have lost three of their last four games and are 19th in the NHL in goals per game (3.09).

Lyon is 3-2-1 with a 3.89 GAA and .892 SV% and has been reassigned to Charlotte (AHL) Wednesday so that he can see some game action instead of backing up in Florida. He returns to the minors, where he was 11-9-1 with a .906 SV% and 2.62 GAA.

Guzda has a 14-7-3 record, 2.85 GAA and .900 SV% with the Charlotte Checkers (AHL) and has been recalled Wednesday to Florida for the first time this season. He will act as a backup to Sergei Bobrovsky and is not expected to see game action during his call-up.

Lindgren stopped 16 of 18 shots (.889 SV%) in relief against Buffalo in his previous outing as he picked up the no-decision in the contest. The 29-year-old backup has nearly doubled his career high in games played in a season, is 12-8-2 with a 2.74 GAA and .905 SV%. He will take on the Buffalo Sabres, who just snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over Toronto their last time out.

Ersson is 6-1-0 with a 3.07 GAA and .898 SV% but has been reassigned to Lehigh Valley (AHL) Wednesday as Carter Hart (illness) returns to the Flyers. The 23-year-old returns to the minors, where he has a 19-11-1 record, .907 SV% and a 2.61 GAA.

Dvorak had 10 goals, 18 assists, 88 SOG, and a -12 plus/minus through 64 games played but will miss the remained of the 2022-23 season after undergoing knee surgery Wednesday. The 27-year-old finishes with his lowest goal and point totals in a season where he played more than 20 games in his seven-year career.

Copley saved 29 of 30 shots (.967 SV%) but still snapped a three-game winning streak as he lost in overtime to the Nashville Predators last game. The 31-year-old Alaskan native has been very solid since joining the team in December, with his 20-4-3 record, 2.69 GAA and .902 SV%. He will face the Columbus Blue Jackets, who just snapped a four-game losing streak with a 6-5 overtime win over San Jose last game.

Kulikov left the Penguins' previous game due to a lower-body injury after just 8:13 TOI and has not been placed on the long-term injured reserve as he is week-to-week with a lower-body injury. The 32-year-old was acquired at the trade deadline for Pittsburgh and has a goal, 13 assists, 82 SOG, 30 PIMs and a -11 plus/minus through 65 games this season. His earliest return date is April 6th.

Megna has been a healthy scratch for the Ducks' previous three games but will draw back into the lineup Wednesday vs. the New York Islanders. The 33-year-old has two goals, five assists, 31 SOG, six PIMs and a -16 plus/minus through 49 games between Colorado and Anaheim this season.

Leason has five goals, three assists, 45 SOG, eight PIMs and a -19 plus/minus through 50 games this season but will be a healthy scratch Wednesday vs. the New York Islanders. The 23-year-old will be replaced by veteran winger, Jayson Megna.

Gibson allowed five goals on 36 shots (.861 SV%) for his third loss in five games as he was defeated by Nashville in his previous start. The 29-year-old has had a season to forget in 2022-23, with his 14-24-8 record, 3.85 GAA and .903 SV%. He will take on the New York Islanders, who have lost two-straight games and are 23rd in the NHL in goals per game (2.87).

Hayden has 17 goals, 33 points, 58 PIMs and a +10 plus/minus through 47 games with Coachella Valley (AHL) and has been recalled to Seattle for a second time this season. In the 28-year-old's previous showing with the big club this season, he had two goals, and a +2 plus/minus through five games.

Galchenyuk had 15 goals, 18 assists, 10 PIMs and a +2 plus/minus through 33 games with the Colorado Eagles (AHL) and was recalled to the Avalanche' for a second time this season Wednesday and will draw into the lineup vs. Toronto. The 29-year-old failed to pick up a point across a short four-game showing earlier in the season.

Georgiev allowed four goals on 19 shots (.789 SV%) but still picked up his third victory in four games as he beat Montreal 8-4 his last time between the crease. The 27-year-old has been sensational in his first season in Colorado, with his 29-14-5 record, 2.65 GAA and .917 SV%. He will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are coming off a 4-3 loss to Buffalo last game and are eighth in the NHL in goals per game (3.42).

Luff had seven goals, 16 assists, six PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 25 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) and was recalled to the Red Wings Monday but has been reassigned to the minor Wednesday. The 25-year-old has a goal over seven games played with the Red Wings.
