Caggiula suffered an upper-body injury vs. the Blue Jackets on Monday and is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks. With Caggiula out, Arttu Ruotsalainen should remain in the Sabres lineup full-time.
The Flyers have recalled Connor Bunnaman from Lehigh Valley (AHL).
Bunnaman will replace Max Willman, who was sent back to the AHL this morning. Bunnaman has scored just one goal with one assist in 16 AHL games this season.
Holtby (lower-body) will serve as the Stars backup on Friday.
Holtby has missed the last five games with a lower-body injury but will return in a backup role on Friday. Holtby has lost his last four starts while allowing a combined 13 goals on 105 shots (.876 SV%).

Returning Willman to the AHL suggests that Derick Brassard could be back on Friday. Willman did not have a point in six games with the Flyers and has seven goals and two assists (nine points) in 12 AHL games.
Kampf (upper-body) will be a game-time decision on Friday.
Kampf left Wednesday's game after getting hurt on his first shift on a hit from Rasmus Kupari. Kampf was able to participate in Thursday's practice but remains a game-time decision on Friday.
Waiver Move
The Devils claimed Nathan Bastian off of waivers from the Kraken on Thursday.
Bastian was selected in the expansion draft but returns to New Jersey on waivers. Bastian has scored one goal with one assist in 12 games with Seattle.
The Devils placed Jesper Boqvist (upper-body) on IR.
Boqvist suffered an upper-body injury in Florida on November 18th and was moved to IR on Thursday. Moving Boqvist to IR opened up a roster spot to claim Nathan Bastian off of waivers from Seattle. Boqvist is eligible to come off of IR whenever he is healthy.
Brown will miss 4-to-6 weeks with an upper-body injury.
Brown returned to the lineup on Monday but played just 2:35 TOI before departing with an upper-body injury. Brown will be out until after the Christmas break and could be sidelined until mid-January.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
