Ryan has missed the last two games with a concussion that he suffered in a collision with Mark Scheifele on November 16th. Ryan will be back on the Oilers' fourth line and comes into Tuesday with one goal and a minus-10 rating in 15 games.

With the Islanders COVID-19 outbreak continuing with Zdeno Chara being added to the protocol list on Tuesday, Hickey comes up from the AHL. He has just one assist in nine AHL games this season.

Golyshev was a fourth-round pick in 2016 and came to North America this season after eight seasons in the KHL. Golyshev has scored five goals with two assists (seven points) in 13 AHL games this season.

The Islanders are already in the middle of a COVID-19 outbreak and now they will be without their leading scorer for at least two weeks. Anatoly Golyshev has been recalled to help reaplce Nelson up front.

Stephens suffered a lower-body injury on November 13th and will be out until at least late February. With Stephens out long-term, Joe Veleno could remain with the Red Wings for the foreseeable future.

The Islanders COVID-19 breakout continues, with Chara being added to the protocol list on Tuesday. At this rate, the Islanders' game on Wednesday is in danger of being postponed.

Stecher will be out until at least late February after undergoing wrist surgery. Stecher played a huge role for the Red Wings last year (17:19 ATOI) but the additions of Moritz Seider and Nick Leddy has pushed him down the depth chart (14:28 ATOI), so this isn't a huge loss for the Red Wing, who will continue to use Gustav Lindstrom on the third pair.

Spurgeon suffered a lower-body injury early in Saturday's game in Florida and is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks. Calen Addison was recalled from the AHL but did not play Sunday, but could be an option to replace him moving forward.

The Lightning did not provide much of an update on Point, other than to say that he is "probably in that week-to-week stage right now." All things considered, this is probably the best-case scenario but will still put the Lightning in a tough spot for at least a couple of weeks.

Cernak was on the ice for the morning skate but will miss his sixth consecutive game on Tuesday. Cernak was upgraded to day-to-day and could be back for Friday's game vs. the Kraken.

Kalynuk, who spent most of last season with the Blackhawks, missed the start of the 2021-22 season with an ankle injury. Upon returning he was sent to Rockford, where he has scored one goal with two assists in four games. He was recalled Monday after Riley Stillman was placed on IR with a left knee injury.
