Sorokin will start vs. the Rangers on Tuesday.

The Islanders have lost three straight (0-3-0) and will turn to Sorokin between the pipes on Tuesday against the New York Rangers. After a stellar nine-game stretch (8-1-0), posting a 1.38 GAA and .952 SV%, Sorokin has followed that up with a forgettable three-game losing skid (0-3-0) where he has a 4.45 GAA and .852 SV%. The Islanders enter Tuesday's contest as slight +100 home underdogs against a Rangers team coming off a 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Ilya Sorokin
Eriksson Ek (undisclosed) has been placed on IR and is considered week-to-week.

Eriksson Ek recorded an assist in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings but has been placed on Injured Reserve and is considered week-to-week even though will not be eligible to return until, at earliest, March 2nd against the Boston Bruins. Already without Kirill Kaprizov (lower body), Minnesota can ill-afford to lose Eriksson Ek's offensive production. The 28-year-old Eriksson Ek has 24 points (9G / 15A) in 42 games this season.

Joel Eriksson Ek
Luukkonen is in the starter's crease at Buffalo's morning skate.

Luukkonen was solid in the Sabres return to action on Saturday, saving 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) in an impressive 8-2 win over the New York Rangers, and will likely return to the crease on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks. The 25-year-old Luukkonen has a 3.00 GAA and .895 SV% in 40 appearances this season (19-16-4). The Sabres enter Tuesday's contest as -186 home favorites against a Ducks squad with points in five straight (4-0-1).

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
Martin (lower-body) has been placed on IR.

Martin has not played since January 16 and has been placed on Injured Reserve with a lower-body injury, likely so the Islanders can accommodate a roster spot for Noah Dobson. The 35-year-old Martin is averaging 7:47 time-on-ice, recording one point (0G / 1A) and 68 hits in 24 games this season.

Matt Martin
Ersson will start vs. Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Ersson wasn't heavily tested in Philadelphia's return to action on Saturday but saved 15 of 18 shots (.833 SV%) in a 6-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers. The 25-year-old Ersson has played well lately, posting a 2.32 GAA and .916 SV% in his last 15 outings (10-4-1). The Flyers enter Tuesday's contest as -137 home favorites against a Pittsburgh Penguins squad they defeated 3-2 on February 8th.

Samuel Ersson

Samsonov picked up the win in that outing, allowing three goals on 24 shots enroute to a 4-3 victory in Boston. The 27-year-old netminder owns a 13-7-2 record and an .897 SV% on the season. Samsonov and the Golden Knights enter action on Monday at -115 on the money line.

Ilya Samsonov
The Ducks acquired Husso from the Red Wings on Monday in exchange for future considerations.

Husso's disappointing three-year spell in Detroit comes to unceremonious end as the Red Wings opted to clear him off their cap sheet in exchange for future considerations. Husso compiled a 36-32-11 record and an .892 SV% across parts of three seasons in Detroit, and was ultimately the odd-man out in a Red Wings crease that includes Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon. He provides organizational depth at the position for the Ducks, who are currently without the services of John Gibson (upper-body).

Ville Husso

Sourdif was a third-round pick, 87th overall, of the Panthers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Justin Sourdif
Zegras has been suspended three games for his hit on Detroit's Michael Rasmussen.

Zegras was not issued a penalty on the play but has been given a three-game suspension for his hit on Michael Rasmussen of the Detroit Red Wings. The 23-year-old Zegras is averaging 17:03 time-on-ice and has 16 points (7G / 9A) in 34 games this season. He will be eligible to return to the lineup on March 4th against the Edmonton Oilers.

Trevor Zegras
Hartman's 10-game suspension has been reduced to eight games on appeal by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.

Hartman was originally issued a 10-game suspension for roughing Ottawa's Tim Stutzle, which has since been reduced to eight games, making him eligible to return on March 4th. The 30-year-old Hartman has four games remaining in his suspension. He is averaging 14:45 time-on-ice and has 17 points (7G / 10A) in 48 games this season.

Ryan Hartman
Hughes (lower-body) is probable to return on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Hughes missed Vancouver's final four games before the break for the 4Nations Face-Off and has not played two straight since the NHL resumed it's activities, but he will likely return on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Kings. The 25-year-old Hughes is amid another Norris trophy caliber season, posting 59 points (14G / 45A) in 47 games.

Quinn Hughes
Kuemper will start vs. Vegas on Monday.

Kuemper was solid in his first action since the break for the 4Nations Face-Off, saving 25 of 28 shots (.893 SV%) in a 5-3 win over the Utah Hockey Club. The 34-year-old Kuemper returns to the crease on Monday against the Vegas Golden Knights. He has a solid 2.22 GAA and .917 SV% through 30 games this season (17-6-6). The Kings enter Monday's contest as slight -100 home underdogs against a Golden Knights squad riding a three-game winning streak.

Darcy Kuemper

Juuso Valimaki

Cale Fleury
Stezka has been reassigned to Coachella Valley (AHL).

Stezka has been with Seattle since Philipp Grubauer cleared waivers, but has solely served as the backup to Joey Daccord. The 28-year-old Stezka has a 2.99 GAA and .902 SV% in 25 games (9-12-4) with Coachella Valley (AHL) this season. Seattle recalled Niklas Kokko in a corresponding move.
