Tatar is dealing with a lower-body injury that forced him to sit out of the third period on Saturday. He was able to play on Monday but was not on the ice for Wednesday's morning skate and is questionable to play Wednesday. Arturri Lehkonen took his spot on the first line with Philip Danault and Josh Anderson.

Byfield was the No.2 overall pick in this year's draft and he's set to make his NHL debut on Wednesday. Byfield, who is expected to centre the third line, scored eight goals with 12 assists (20 points) in 30 AHL games in 2021.

Wednesday will be True's third NHL game of the season. The 23-year-old has spent most of the season in the AHL, where he is second on the San Jose Barracuda with 20 points (9G / 11A) in 27 games.
