The Stars have signed Jason Robertson to a four-year contract worth $31.0 million ($7.75M AAV).

Robertson has missed the entire preseason while the Stars worked out an extension for him but get him signed one week before their season opener in Nashville. Robertson is coming off a breakout year, scoring 41 goals with 38 assists (79 points) in 74 games. He was tied for 13th in goals and tied for 35th in points. The Islanders have signed Mathew Barzal to an eight-year deal worth $73.2 million ($9.15M AAV).

Barzal enters the final year of his three-year, $21.0M ($7.0M AAV) deal and gets a $2.15M AAV raise to remain with the team through the 2031 season. Barzal dazzled as a rookie, posting 85 points (22G / 63A) in 82 games but has averaged just 67 points per 82 games in four years since.

Perunovich will undergo surgery to repair a fractured left shoulder on Thursday.

Perunovich was injured on September 27th and will undergo surgery this week and will be re-evaluated in six months. The injury effectively ends Perunovich's season unless the Blues want him to make his season debut in the playoffs after a lengthy layoff.

Hall is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

Hall left Saturday's preseason game with an upper-body injury and did not return. Head coach Jim Montgomery told reporters that Hall is "week-to-week. It’s a little bit more significant than we expected." This is a huge loss for the Bruins, who were going to rely on Hall to replace Brad Marchand, who will be out until late November.

Taylor Hall
The Kraken have signed Daniel Sprong to a one-year contract worth $750K.

Sprong was acquired from the Capitals in March and he had six goals and no assists in 16 games with the Kraken. The 2015 second-round pick has collected 70 points (46G / 24A) in 202 career NHL games with the Penguins, Ducks, Capitals and Kraken.

Hischier has a hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in 10 days.

Hischier suffered the injury on Thursday and will be re-evaluated a few days before the Devils' season starts. This would be a huge loss for the Devils to open the season, and it would thrust either Erik Haula or Dawson Mercer into an elevated role.
