Backlund suffered a lower-body injury early in Saturday's loss to the Canucks and is questionable to play on Monday. Head coach Geoff Ward called him "day-to-day" on Sunday, so monitor his status during the morning skate.
Dubois (lower-body) is not expected to play on Monday.
Dubois travelled with the team to Edmonton but head coach Paul Maurice does not expect him to play Monday vs. the Oilers. With Dubois out, Paul Stastny will continue to centre the Jets' second line.
Thornton (ribs) is expected to return to the Maple Leafs lineup on Monday.
Thornton has been out since January 20th with a rib fracture but was a full participant in Sunday's practice and told reporters he "can't wait to play tomorrow" after the session. Thornton, who had one goal and one assist in five games before getting hurt, was back on the top line with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
