Anderson allowed four goals on 43 shots in the Senators' loss to the Golden Knights on January 16th. Anderson has been terrible in his last five outings, giving up at least four goals in each game. Over that stretch, he has a 4.75 GAA and .866 SV%. He's been great vs. the Sabres this year though, going 1-1-0 while allowing just four goals on 75 shots (.947 SV%).
Blais has not played since November 19th and underwent surgery on his right wrist on the 21st. Activating him from IR suggests that the winger will make his return to the lineup on Tuesday. He had five goals and three assists (eight points) in 20 games before getting hurt.

He has lost three straight while giving up a combined 10 goals on 89 shots (.888 SV%). The Vancouver native is 9-2-1 with a 1.83 GAA and .942 SV% against his hometown team in his career.
Samsonov stopped all seven shots that he faced after replacing Braden Holtby in the Capitals' come-from-behind win over the Islanders on January 18th. Holtby ended up starting the last two games, but Samsonov draws a terrific matchup tonight in Ottawa. He stopped 26 of 27 shots in a 6-1 win in his first start vs. the Senators.
