Haula (ankle sprain) has been placed on IR retroactive to January 4th.

Haula has played through some injuries this season and continues to be sidelined on a week-to-week basis with an ankle sprain. The 33-year-old Finnish forward is averaging 14:27 time-on-ice, recording 11 points (5G / 6A), 22 blocks, and 67 hits in 42 games this season.

Tsyplakov has been suspended three games for an illegal check to the head against Philadelphia's Ryan Poehling.

Tsyplakov was not penalized after an illegal check to to the head of Philadelphia's Ryan Poehling but was issued a three-game suspension after a hearing with the Department of Player Safety. The 26-year-old Tsyplakov, in his first NHL season, is averaging 16:15 time-on-ice, scoring 19 points (7G / 12A) in 44 games. He's been held off the scoresheet in 10 straight.

Edmonton has signed John Klingberg to a one-year, $1 million (pro-rated) contract.

Klingberg hasn't played since undergoing hip surgery over a year ago after a brief 14-game stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he scored five points (0G / 5A). The 32-year-old Klingberg isn't far removed from being one of the league's elite powerplay quarterbacks. He scored a career-high 67 points (8G / 59A) in 82 games with the Dallas Stars in the 2017-18 season. However, his production has dipped significantly in recent years, tallying only 85 points (16G / 69A) and a -60 plus/minus in his 155 most recent games. Given Evan Bouchard's dominance on Edmonton's top powerplay unit, it's unlikely that Klingberg will find himself in that position. Yet, he could still see an uptick in production considering the star power of his surrounding cast.

The 25-year-old Ersson has a 2.87 GAA and .888 SV% through 23 appearances this season (12-7-2).

Samuel Ersson
Fleury (lower-body) has a chance to return to Winnipeg's lineup on Saturday vs. Calgary.

Haydn Fleury
Miller (fractured larynx) has potential to return on Saturday vs. Calgary.

Miller has not played since taking a puck to the throat on January 5th, being diagnosed with a fractured larynx, but could return to the lineup on Saturday against the Calgary Flames. The 32-year-old Miller was averaging 13:58 time-on-ice and had eight points (2G / 6A) in 34 games before his injury.

Colin Miller
Kaprizov (lower-body) will not travel on Minnesota's upcoming road trip despite skating on Friday.

Kaprizov has returned to the ice, practicing in a limited capacity, but will miss his 11th straight game on Saturday. He is still considered day-to-day, but updates have been few and far between regarding his status. Before his injury, the 27-year-old Kaprizov was having an excellent campaign among the league leaders, scoring 50 points (23G / 27A) in 34 games.

Kirill Kaprizov
Fleury will start in Nashville on Saturday.

Minnesota has not been as dominant as they were at the start of the season, partly due to key injuries, losing three of their last four games (1-3-0). Their one win came with Fleury between the pipes when he saved 36 of 37 shots (.973 SV%) in a 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks. The veteran netminder has a 2.54 GAA and .910 SV% in 14 games this season (9-3-1).

Marc-Andre Fleury
Lauko (lower-body) is expected to draw back into Minnesota's lineup on Saturday vs. Nashville.

Lauko has not played since December 14th but was activated from LTIR and is expected back in Minesota's lineup on Saturday against the Nashville Predators. The 24-year-old Czech forward is averaging 10:00 time-on-ice and has four points (2G / 2A) in 24 games this season.

Jakub Lauko
Hogberg will start vs. San Jose on Saturday.

Ilya Sorokin returned to the Islanders' crease in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers and the team will quickly revert to Hogberg between the pipes on Saturday against the San Jose Sharks. The 30-year-old Hogberg has been tremendous in limited action this season, posting a 1.41 GAA and .953 SV% in five appearances (1-2-0). He saved 25 of 26 shots (.962 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 2-0 loss to the Ottawa Senators.

Marcus Hogberg
Gaunce has been recalled from Iowa (AHL).

Gaunce has 182 games of NHL experience but has never been able to secure a spot on an NHL roster. The 30-year-old played five games with Minnesota earlier this season but has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, tallying 22 points (12G / 10A) in 26 games with the Iowa Wild.

Brendan Gaunce
Ohgren has been recalled from Iowa (AHL).

Liam Ohgren

Christiansen has been a staple on the Blue Jackets' blue line this season and has been rewarded with a two-year, $1.95 million contract extension. The 25-year-old defenseman is averaging 13:07 time-on-ice, recording seven points (1G / 6A), 41 hits, and 28 blocks in 45 games this season.

Jake Christiansen

Owen Pickering will be a healthy scratch on Friday against the Buffalo Sabres, allowing Graves to re-enter the lineup for the first time since January 3rd. The 29-year-old Graves is averaging 15:25 time-on-ice and has zero points, 40 blocks, and 36 hits in 31 games this season.
