Rau has scored two goals with three assists (five points) in four AHL games this season. Rau was one of three players called up because Mats Zuccarello and Rem Pitlick were placed on the COVID-19 reserve list. Rau has two goals and five assists (seven points) in 56 career NHL games with Florida and Minnesota.

Pitlick is coming off of a strong Wild debut on Tuesday but will likely miss Thursday's game in Seattle. Minnesota recalled Kyle Rau, Connor Dewar and Jon Lizotte from the AHL to replace Pitlick and Mats Zuccarello.
The Wild have placed Mats Zuccarello on the COVID-19 reserve list.
Zuccarello leads the Wild with seven points (3G / 4A) in six games but will likely miss Thursday's game in Seattle. Minnesota recalled Kyle Rau, Connor Dewar and Jon Lizotte from the AHL to replace Zuccarello and Rem Pitlick.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
