Domi had a great start to the season, picking up four points (1G / 3A) in his first two games. In that second game, he fractured his ribs and will miss at least two weeks. With Domi out, Yegor Chinakhov will make his NHL debut on the third line.

Bernier stopped 24 of 27 shots in the Devils win over the Blackhawks in their season opener. With Mackenzie Blackwood (heel) still out, Bernier will start his second straight game on Tuesday. Tonight he'll face a Kraken team that is coming off of a blowout loss in Philadelphia last night and are playing their third game in four nights.

Vitek Vanecek started the first two games of the season but the Capitals will turn to Samsonov tonight vs. the Avalanche. Samsonov went 13-4-1 with a 2.69 GAA and .902 SV% in 18 starts in 18 starts last season. Colorado will get a boost tonight with Nathan MacKinnon returning from COVID-19 protocol.

MacKinnon missed the first two games of the season but received two negative COVID-19 tests and flew to Washington to join his team for Tuesday's game. MacKinnon will provide a huge boost to an Avalanche team that will be without Gabriel Landeskog (suspended) and Valeri Nichushkin.

Anderson stopped 30 of 31 shots in the Sabres' win over the Canadiens in their season opener. It was an outstanding debut for the 40-year-old netminder, who will face the Canucks on Tuesday. Vancouver has opened the season at 1-1-1 while averaging 2.67 goals for per game.





Terry missed Friday's game vs. the Wild but will be back in the lineup in Calgary. Terry will replace Derek Grant, who was placed on waivers on Sunday. Terry will skate on a line with Ryan Getzlaf and Max Comtois.


O'Brien had one shot and two hits in 11:43 TOI in the Coyotes loss on Saturday. Tonight he'll be replaced by Antoine Roussel.

Roussel played 10:01 TOI in the first game of the season but was a healthy scratch in Buffalo on Saturday. Roussel will replace Liam O'Brien in the lineup vs. the Blues.



Evans was missing from Monday's practice and is questionable to play on Tuesday. Adam Brooks skated in his spot at practice and would likely replace him in the lineup if Evans is unable to play.

Liljegren was in the lineup on Saturday but will sit with Justin Holl (illness) returning to the lineup.

Wheeler missed Monday's practice after being put on the COVID-19 reserve list and is questionable to play Tuesday in Minnesota. Andrew Copp moved up to the top line in Wheeler's absence.

Maltsev opened the season in the AHL but got off to a hot start, picking up four points (1G / 3A) in two games. Maltsev and Martin Kaut were both recalled and are expected to make their season debuts on Tuesday.
