Maroon stayed back in Tampa to be with his wife for the birth of their child on Monday but joined his team in Pittsburgh and is expected to play Tuesday. There's no indication who will be scratched to make room for him.

Hronek has been a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Gustav Lindstrom (undisclosed) in the lineup on Wednesday. Hronek has one assist and four shots on goal in four games this season.

Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill said that Lindstrom will not play on Wednesday but does not believe it will be a long-term thing. Filip Hronek, who has been a healthy scratch for the last two games, will replace him in Washington.

Hutton left Monday's game vs. the Panthers and is expected to miss at least two games with a lower-body injury. With Hutton out, Karel Vejmelka will take over as the Coyotes No.1 option and Josef Korenar will likely come up to be his backup.

Bailey has had a great start to the 2021-22 season, scoring three goals with three assists (six points) in five games with Abbotsford (AHL). Bailey will take Justin Dowling's spot on the roster and could make his season debut on Tuesday.

The Canucks said Dowling's absence from Monday's practice was "maintenance" related but he landed on IR on Tuesday. Justin Bailey was recalled from the AHL to take Dowling's spot on the roster.

Tolvanen was hurt early in Sunday's game in Minnesota but will be available for Tuesday's game vs. San Jose. Tolvanen has had a quiet start to the season, scoring just one goal with no assists in six games. His shot volume (3.33 SOG/gm) is an encouraging sign that the goals could start to pour in.

Eklund was a healthy scratch in Boston on Sunday but will be back in the lineup in Nashville. Eklund, who has three assists in his first four NHL games, will skate on a line with Tomas Hertl and Kevin Labanc.

Joshua comes up to replace Ryan O'Reilly, who was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list on Tuesday. Joshua had one goal in 12 games with the Blues last season.

Being placed on the COVID-19 reserve list makes O'Reilly questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Avalanche. To replace O'Reilly on the roster, the Blues recalled Dakota Joshua from the AHL.

Girard will not play Tuesday vs. the Golden Knights, so look for Kurtis MacDermid to draw into the lineup and Bowen Byram to take over on PP2. Consider Girard questionable for Thursday's game in St. Louis.

Smith missed Sunday's game vs. the Sharks with an undisclosed injury that he suffered in Buffalo on Thursday. With Smith out, Oskar Steen is expected to remain in the lineup vs. the Panthers and Hurricanes.

Borgstrom is now the fifth player and eighth member of the Blackhawks' organization to land in COVID-19 protocol. Borgstrom can test out of protocol before Wednesday's game, but consider him questionable vs. the Maple Leafs.

Toews is now the fifth player and eighth member of the Blackhawks' organization to land in COVID-19 protocol. Toews can test out of protocol before Wednesday's game, but consider him questionable vs. the Maple Leafs.

Crosby continues to skate with the team but is not quite ready to make his season debut. Monitor Crosby's progress leading up to Thursday's game vs. the Flames.

Samuel Girard is banged up, so MacDonald being recalled is an indication that Girard will not be available on Tuesday. MacDonald has had a hot start in the AHL, scoring one goal with three assists (four points) in four games.
