Ullmark will start Friday in Washington.

Ullmark stopped all 41 shots that he faced in the Sabres shutout win in Detroit last Friday. He will start the front-end of the Sabres back-to-back, which leaves Carter Hutton to face the Islanders on Saturday. Ullmark has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.21 GAA, .938 SV% and one shutout. He’ll be in tough against a Capitals team that is third in goal scoring (3.79 GF/gm).

Linus Ullmark
Holtby will start Friday vs. the Sabres.

Holtby allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Capitals win in Toronto on Tuesday. It hasn't always been pretty at times but suddenly Holtby has won four of his last five (4-0-1) starts while posting a 2.95 GAA an .916 SV%. On Friday, he will face the 9-2-2 Sabres, who he was 1-1-0 with a .932 SV% against in 2018-19.

Braden Holtby
Kuemper will start Saturday vs. the Avalanche.

Kuemper allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Coyotes win in Buffalo on Monday. Kuemper has been victorious in five of his last six starts while posting a 1.98 GAA and .929 SV%. He has simply been one of the best goalies in the NHL since the middle of last season and is a solid option against an Avalanche team without 2/3 of their top-line. Kuemper comes in at 2-1-0 with a 1.34 GAA and .955 SV% on home-ice.

Darcy Kuemper
Gibson will start Friday vs. the Canucks.

Gibson allowed four goals on 40 shots in the Ducks win over the Jets on Tuesday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for Gibson, who finished October at 5-6-0 with a 2.66 GAA and .920 SV%. In two starts against Vancouver last season, Gibson went 2-0-0 with a 3.52 GAA and .883 SV% but this Canucks team comes in ranked fifth in the league in goal-scoring.

John Gibson
Markstrom will start Friday in Anaheim.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Canucks win in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Markstrom has won five of his last six starts (5-0-1) while posting a 2.60 GAA and .919 SV%. He struggled to 1-3-0 vs. the Ducks last year but the Canucks are firing on all cylinders offensively right now, so Markstrom has a good chance at chalking up his sixth win.

Little (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Friday.

Little was listed as questionable for Friday's game but head coach Paul Maurice told reporters that Little was feeling better this morning and will be a game-time decision in San Jose. Little is on a three-game point streak, scoring two goals with two assists during that stretch.

Bryan Little
Rittich will start Saturday in Columbus.

Rittich allowed five goals on 36 shots in the Flames win in Nashville on Thursday. The win ended a brief two-game losing skid for Rittich, who was 6-4-2 with a 3.02 GAA and .906 in 12 starts in October. He did not lose in regulation in Calgary but has struggled on the road, going 2-4-1 with a 3.66 GAA and .893 SV% in seven starts. Tonight he faces a Blue Jackets team that has lost three in a row and come in on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

David Rittich
Gambrell will miss at least two games with an upper-body injury.

Gambrell suffered an upper-body injury in Boston on Tuesday and will not play in the Sharks' Friday/Saturday back-to-back. Gambrell, who has four points (1G / 3A) in 12 games, will be replaced by Jonny Brodzinski on Friday.

Dylan Gambrell
Jones will start Friday vs. the Jets.

Jones allowed five goals on 41 shots in the Sharks loss in Boston on Tuesday. Things are not going well for Jones, who comes into Friday's game having lost four in a row (0-3-1) with a 3.93 GAA and .878 SV%. You simply can't trust Jones right now, even against a Jets team that is 25th in the NHL in goal-scoring (2.62 GF/gm). This team may turn it around but right now there is a lot more that could go wrong than right.

Martin Jones
Malkin will be a game-time decision on Saturday.

Malkin has missed the last 11 games with a lower-body injury but was on the ice during Friday's practice and has a chance to return on Saturday. Malkin, who has one goal in two games to start the season, remains a game-time decision so monitor his status on Saturday morning.

Evgeni Malkin
Zibanejad (neck) will not play on Saturday.

The Rangers will stick with the same lineup on Saturday, which means Zibanejad will miss his second straight game. Rangers' head coach David Quinn announced that Zibanejad's injury is in the "neck area." Filip Chytil played very well in Zibanejad's absence, so expect them to make sure he's 100 percent before re-inserting him into the lineup in a November game.
