Halak will start Thursday vs. the Capitals.

Halak allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Bruins win vs. the Flames last Thursday. Tuukka Rask has started four of the last five games, so they want to get Halak between the pipes sooner rather than later. Tonight he will face the Capitals for the first time since the season opener—he stopped 16 of 18 shots in relief of Rask in the 7-0 loss (Oct.3).

Jaroslav Halak
Rittich is in the starter's crease at the Flames morning skate.

Rittich allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Flames win in Chicago on Monday. Rittich has won three straight while allowing a combined 10 goals on 102 shots (.902 SV%). Tonight he takes on an Avalanche team that played last night—he allowed two goals on 26 shots in a 3-2 overtime win in Colorado in his first start against them (Oct.13).

Delia will start Wednesday vs. the Nashville.

Delia allowed three goals on 42 shots in the Blackhawks loss to the Flames on Monday. Delia has been extremely busy in his five starts since being recalled, facing an average of 41.6 shots per game. In those games, Delia has gone 3-1-1 with a 2.19 GAA and .947 SV%. Delia makes for an interesting DFS start thanks to the shot volume, especially vs. a Predators team that ranks 10th in shots per game (32.5).

The Penguins have recalled Garrett Wilson from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Wilson had just two assists in 14 games with the Penguins earlier this season but has found success at the AHL-level, collecting eight goals and 10 assists in 18 games. Wilson has been called-up because Zach Aston-Reese went on IR on Wednesday.

Garrett Wilson
Duchene (personal) did not travel on the Senators three-game road trip.

Duchene and his wife are awaiting the arrival of their first child, so Duchene stayed home and is expected to miss all three games on their California road trip. Darren Archibald was called up to serve as the extra forward with Duchene out.

Matt Duchene
Nilsson will start Wednesday in Anaheim.

Nilsson allowed two goals on 13 shots after replacing Marcus Hogberg in the Senators loss to the Hurricanes on Sunday. Nilsson has allowed six goals on 39 shots (.846 SV%) in his first two appearances with the Senators. Tonight he faces a Ducks team that has lost eight in a row (0-6-2) and are 10-6-7 on home-ice.

Anders Nilsson
Dell leads the Sharks onto the ice for warmups.

It looked as if Martin Jones may get the nod on back-to-back nights but Dell will be making his first start since New Year’s Eve. Dell allowed eight goals(!!!) on 27 shots in his last outing and has had a rough season, posting a 3.10 GAA and .890 SV% in 14 appearances so far.

Aaron Dell
Grubauer will start Tuesday in Winnipeg.

Grubauer allowed one goal on 25 shots in Colorado’s win over the Rangers last Friday. The victory snapped a four-game losing skid for Grubauer, who will make his 20th appearance of the season this evening. The matchup is rough and his road numbers haven’t been pretty this season—5-2-2, 3.25 GAA and .906 SV%.

Philipp Grubauer
Vasilevskiy leads the Lightning onto the ice for warmups.

Vasilevskiy allowed five goals on 33 shots in the Lightning’s loss in San Jose on Saturday. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Vasilevskiy, who has gone 7-1-1 with a 3.20 GAA and .911 SV% in nine starts since returning from a fractured foot. In his first start vs. the Blue Jackets, Vasilevskiy stopped 30 of 32 shots in an 8-2 win (Oct.13).

Andrei Vasilevskiy

Allen allowed four goals on just 14 shots in the Blues loss to the Islanders on Saturday. Jordan Binnington gave him the night off last night and recorded a shutout in his first career NHL start but they’ll come back to Allen tonight vs. the Stars. Allen is 8-8-2 with a 3.67 GAA and .880 SV% on home-ice this year.
