Georgiev will start Tuesday vs. the Flyers.

Georgiev allowed seven goals on 40 shots in the Rangers loss in Columbus back on January 13th. The 22-year-old has gone 3-1-0 with a 1.89 GAA, .931 SV% and one shutout on home-ice this season and will get the start tonight to give All-Star Henrik Lundqvist a breather. Georgiev is 2-9-0 with a 3.66 GAA and .883 SV% during his 11 games with Hartford (AHL) this year.

The Bruins have assigned Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson to Providence (AHL).

Despite picking up two assists in the final two games before the Bruins’ bye week, Forsbacka Karlsson heads to Providence to allow Trent Frederic to make his NHL debut on Tuesday. Overall, Forsbacka Karlsson has nine points (3G / 6A) in 28 games with the Bruins this year.

The Bruins have assigned Ryan Donato to Providence (AHL).

Donato was a healthy scratch in the Bruins final game before the All-Star break and has been replaced on the active roster by Peter Cehlarik. Donato can’t seem to get anything going this season, scoring just six goals to go along with three assists in 34 games with Boston.

The Bruins have recalled Trent Frederic from Providence (AHL).

Frederic was a first-round pick of the Bruins back in 2016 (No. 29 overall) and could make his NHL debut on Tuesday. The 20-year-old centre has collected 10 goals and seven assists in 37 games this season, in what is his first full AHL season. Frederic is expected to replace Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson in the Bruins bottom-6.

The Bruins have recalled Zane McIntyre from Providence (AHL).

McIntyre has been called up on emergency basis because Tuukka Rask has been placed on IR. McIntyre will serve as Jaroslav Halak backup for at least one game (Tuesday) after going 16-8-0 with a 2.74 GAA and .887 SV% in 27 AHL games.

Zane McIntyre
The Bruins have placed Tuukka Rask (concussion) on IR.

Rask was forced to leave the Bruins game vs. the Rangers back on January 19th following a collision with Filip Chytil in which Rask sustained a concussion. The Bruins moved him to IR and turn things over the Jaroslav Halak in the immediate future. Zane McIntyre has been recalled from Providence (AHL) to serve as Halak’s backup on Tuesday.

Tuukka Rask
Murray will start Monday vs. the Devils.

Murray allowed two goals on 33 shots in the Penguins win in Arizona on January 18th. Unsurprisingly, Murray will start the first game out of the Penguins’ bye week and comes in having gone 10-1-0 with a 1.81 GAA, .944 SV% and two shutouts in 11 games since returning from injury. Murray has been excellent and is a quality option against a Devils team that is still missing Taylor Hall.

The Devils have recalled Cam Johnson from Binghamton (AHL).

MacKenzie Blackwood participated in the AHL All-Star game so the Devils have recalled Johnson to serve as Keith Kinkaid’s backup on Monday. Johnson has gone 6-9-0 with a 3.79 GAA and .869 SV% in 16 AHL games this season.

Cam Johnson
The Devils have recalled Kevin Rooney from Binghamton (AHL).

Rooney appeared in the final four games before the All-Star break but was sent back for the duration of the break. He returns to New Jersey, where he has one goal in nine games while averaging 9:24 TOI/gm.

Kevin Rooney
The Devils placed Ben Lovejoy (upper-body) on IR.

Lovejoy’s move to IR is retroactive to January 15th, which means that he can return to the lineup whenever he is healthy. Lovejoy will miss his third straight game, so Egor Yakovlev was recalled from Binghamton (AHL).

Ben Lovejoy
Hall (lower-body) did not travel to Pittsburgh for Monday’s game.

Hall will miss 14th consecutive game with a lower-body injury but did skate in New Jersey prior to the Devils practice on Sunday. Skating is an encouraging sign that Hall shouldn’t be too far away but he certainly is not healing as quick as they originally expected.

Taylor Hall
Kinkaid will start Monday in Pittsburgh.

Kinkaid allowed four goals on 34 shots in the Devils loss in Columbus on January 15th. Kinkaid will start Monday with MacKenzie Blackwood remaining in AHL after the All-Star break. Kinkaid has gone 0-4-0 with a 3.79 GAA and .891 SV% in his last four starts, making him a risky start in Pittsburgh—however, Kinkaid is 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .955 SV% in two starts against the Penguins this season.

Keith Kinkaid
The Flyers have recalled Mikhail Vorobyov from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Vorobyev was with the Flyers earlier this season, collecting two points (1G / 1A) in seven games. The 22-year-old has been solid with the Phantoms, ranking sixth on the team in assists (16) and seventh in points (22) through 31 games. He is expected to centre the Flyers fourth line coming out of the All-Star break.

Mikhail Vorobyev
Stolarz (lower-body) will return to the crease Tuesday in New York.

Stolarz is expected to make his first NHL appearances since December 15th after Carter Hart started on Monday. The 25-year-old has gone 2-3-2 with a 3.90 GAA and .880 SV% in nine NHL appearances this season. During his time in the minors, Stolarz is 2-0-0 while allowing 16 goals on 161 shots (.901 SV%) in five games.

Anthony Stolarz
Hart will start Monday vs. the Jets.

Hart allowed one goal on 35 shots in the Flyers win in Montreal on January 19th. Hart finished strong before the bye week, winning three in a row while stopping 106 of 115 shots (.922 SV%). Tonight he faces the Jets on home-ice, where he is 5-2-1 with a 2.51 GAA and .923 SV% in eight games this season.
