Chmelevski had one assists in 6:11 TOI on Friday but will be replaced by Rudolfs Balcers on Saturday.

Walman appeared in a single game a season ago, spending most of the season in the AHL, where he had eight goals and 19 assists (27 points) in 57 games with San Antonio. He'll dress as a seventh defenseman, replacing Kyle Clifford.

Balcers was claimed off of waivers from the Senators in mid-January and will replace Sasha Chmelevski in the lineup on Saturday. The 23-year-old winger has 17 points (6G / 11A) in 51 career NHL games.

Sanford missed Friday's practice with an undisclosed issue, which the Blues have now revealed is a non-COVID related illness. With Sanford out, Mike Hoffman will move up to the top line with Ryan O'Reilly.

Froese was promoted from the taxi squad on Saturday and is expected to replace Derek Ryan, who suffered a fractured finger on Thursday. Froese has 16 points (5G / 11A) in 110 career games with the Maple Leafs, Lightning and Canadiens.

Ryan suffered a fractured finger on Thursday and will most likely come out of the lineup on Saturday. Byron Froese was promoted and is expected to replace Ryan in the bottom-6.

Bear will miss his third straight game with a head injury that he suffered a week ago. With Bear out, William Lagesson will remain on the Oilers' blueline.

Eller has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury but practiced on Saturday and could be back in the lineup on Saturday. Eller would slot in on the second line and has one goal and one assist in seven games on the year.

According to John Tortorella, Werenksi is "banged up" and will not play on Sunday. In Saturday's practice Dean Kukan took Werenski's spot next to Seth Jones and it looks as if Scott Harrington will draw in as the sixth defenseman.

It's been a struggle for Virtanen this year, the former first-round pick has just one goal in 11 games. As a result, he'll be scratched for the fourth time in six games, with Justin Bailey replacing him in the Canucks bottom-6.

Bailey was brought up from the taxi squad and will make his season debut Saturday in Toronto. The 25-year-old winger had five goals and four assists in 65 career NHL games and will be replacing Jake Virtanen.

Gaudette suited up for the last five games but will be replaced by Loui Eriksson in the lineup on Saturday night. Gaudette scored in the Canucks season opener but has just one goal and no assists in 10 games since.
