Jones could make his NHL debut on Thursday after recording 12 goals and 12 assists (24 points) in 32 games with San Diego. Jones is a former first-round pick (No.24 in 2016) who is part of the struggling Ducks’ roster re-tool.
Terry started the season with the Ducks but did not register a point in six games. The 21-year-old has played very well in San Diego, scoring 16 goals and 21 assists (37 points) in 32 games. He is expected to play for Jakob Silfverberg on Thursday and should see top-9 minutes.
Silfverberg played just 3:44 TOI before leaving Tuesday’s game in Detroit with a lower-body injury. Silverberg is expected to miss the rest of the road-trip, so Max Jones and Troy Terry have been called-up to replace him and Ryan Kesler (lower-body).
Kesler played just 5:06 TOI in Detroit before leaving with a lower-body injury. Kesler will miss at least the next three games, so look for Adam Henrique to be back on the Ducks top power-play unit on Thursday. Max Jones and Troy Terry were recalled from San Diego (AHL) to replace Kesler and Jakob Silfverberg (lower-body).
Blandisi has spent the majority of the season with San Diego (AHL), where he had 23 points (8G / 15A) in 27 games. The 24-year-old could replace Grant as the Penguins 12th/13th forward. He has 26 points (8G / 18A) in 74 career NHL games with the Devils and Ducks.
Grant has scored twice with three assists (five points) in 25 games with the Penguins this season. The 28-year-old returns to Anaheim, where he had the best year of his career, scoring 12 goals with 12 assists (24 points) in 2017-18.
Schenn has appeared in just eight games with the Ducks this season and heads to Vancouver where he will likely serve as an extra defenseman.
Del Zotto has played just once since December 4th and has four points (1G / 3A) in 23 games this season. Del Zotto will battle with Jacob Larsson, Andrej Sustr and Andy Welinski for playing time.
Aberg had 11 goals and eight assists (19 points) in his first 37 games with the Ducks but has been a healthy scratch for the last four games. Aberg fell out of favour with head coach Randy Carlyle so he gets moved to Minnesota, where he will fight with Matt Hendricks and J.T. Brown for playing time in the bottom-6.
Kloos has registered 12 goals and 18 assists (30 points) in 34 games with Iowa (AHL) this season. Aberg had a nice run but fell out of favour with head coach Randy Carlyle as of late, serving as a healthy scratch for four straight games. Kloos will report to San Diego (AHL) at first but could earn a call-up if the Ducks continue to struggle.
Beaulieu replaced Lawrence Pilut on Monday but will swap spots with him again in Calgary.
Pilut was a healthy scratch in Edmonton on Monday but will replace Nathan Beaulieu in the Sabres lineup on Wednesday. Pilut, who was ripping the AHL up when he was recalled, has five points (1G / 4A) in 14 games with Buffalo.
Yamamoto has missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury but will play Wednesday in Vancouver. Yamamoto will replace Ty Rattie on the Oilers’ second line but has just one goal on 12 shots and one assist in 13 games this season.
Pettersson took part in the Canucks morning skate and is close to returning to the lineup but will miss his fourth straight game tonight. Pettersson said he’s “feeling better every day” and hopes to play on Friday.
Markstrom allowed one goal on 24 shots in the Canucks win over the Panthers on Sunday. The win snapped a three-game losing skid for Markstrom, who has played some excellent hockey over the last month and a half. Tonight he gets the Oilers for the third time this season—he is 2-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .926 SV% in the first two meetings.
Kuemper allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Coyotes win in Edmonton on Saturday. Kuemper is riding a surprising three-game winning streak, stopping 79 of the 84 shots (.941 SV%) that he faced. He will look to stay hot against the Sharks, who he beat back in December, stopping 35 of the 38 shots he faced in a shootout victory.
Lundqvist allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Rangers win over the Hurricanes on Tuesday. It was a much-needed win for Lundqvist, who will make his second straight start on Thursday. In his first start vs. the Blackhawks, King Henrik allowed three goals on 36 shots in a 4-1 loss (Oct.25).
Ullmark allowed two goals on 13 shots after replacing Carter Hutton in the Sabres loss in Edmonton on Monday. Ullmark has gone 4-2-0 with a 2.59 GAA, .925 SV% and one shutout in his last seven appearances. Tonight he will take on a Flames team that is on a five-game winning streak, outscoring their opponents 23-to-12 during that time.
Schilling has one assist in four games with the Jets this season. With Ben Chiarot out, Schilling comes up to be the Jets’ spare defenseman.
