Ericsson took a stick off of the face on Sunday and the injury was serious enough for him to land on IR. The Red Wings used the roster spot to call-up Brian Lashoff from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Lashoff comes up to replace Jonathan Ericsson () on the roster. Lashoff has appeared in just 10 NHL games over the last three years and has six points (2G / 4A) in 25 AHL games this season.

Moving Howard provides the Red Wings with some salary-cap relief and making it retroactive to November 27th means he can return this week. Howard is expected to start with the Griffins on Tuesday night and could return to the Red Wings if he doesn't suffer a setback.

It looks like Milano was able to escape a scary hit with a minor injury. His "day-to-day" tag suggests that he will miss tonight's game in Detroit and makes him questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Kings and Saturday's game vs. the Devils.

Murray left Saturday's game in Ottawa and is expected to miss a couple of weeks with a lower-body injury. Luckily for the Blue Jackets, Zach Werenski was activated from IR on Tuesday and will help replace Murray on the back-end.

Cormier served as Mackenzie Blackwood's backup during his time with the Devils and returns to the AHL, where he has gone 1-5-1 with a 3.77 GAA and .884 SV% in seven games.

Senn has gone 5-5-2 with a 2.95 GAA and .896 SV% in 13 AHL games this season. The 23-year-old netminder will likely serve as Mackenzie Blackwood's backup Wednesday vs. the Ducks.

Anderson suffered a shoulder injury in Ottawa on Saturday and is expected to miss at least one month. Anderson has had a terribly difficult season, scoring just one goal on 63 shots (1.6 SH%) with three assists (four points) in 26 games.

This is surprising. The Blue Jackets announced that Werenski will miss one month with a sprained AC joint just over two weeks ago, but activating him from IR suggests he will play tonight in Detroit. The 22-year-old is a Michigan native, so he will be playing in front of family if he is in the lineup and comes in with 16 points (6G / 10A) in 26 games this season.

Hart allowed one goal on seven shots after replacing Brian Elliott in the Flyers loss in Winnipeg on Sunday. In his last three starts, Hart has allowed three goals in each game while posting a .892 SV%. He draws a good matchup on Tuesday with the Ducks in town. Anaheim has lost five of their last six (1-3-2) road games while scoring 2.67 goals per game.

Twarynski played Sunday in Winnipeg but swaps spots with Andy Andreoff and goes back to Lehigh Valley. The 22-year-old has two goals and one assist in 12 AHL games this season.

The Flyers are dealing with injuries upfront so they have a lot of Phantoms on the roster right now and Andreoff is the latest to get called-up. Andreoff has one assist in six games with the Flyers and eight points (4G / 4A) in 14 AHL games this season.

Ullmark allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Sabres' loss to the Islanders on Saturday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Ullmark, who will make his fifth straight start tonight in Toronto. In his first start against the Maple Leafs, Ullmark allowed four goals on 29 shots in a 6-4 win (Nov.29) but this time he will not be going head-to-head with Michael Hutchinson.

Dobson played in the last three games with Nick Leddy out with a lower-body injury but is expected to come out of the lineup vs. the Predators. Dobson failed to register a point in those three games, giving him just two assists in 10 games this season.

Leddy missed the last three games with a lower-body issue but is expected to replace Noah Dobson against the Predators. Leddy has 11 points (2G / 9A) and a plus-5 rating in 23 games this season.

Johnson has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury but head coach Jon Cooper said that he is "good-to-go" tonight vs. the Senators. Johnson could skate in the top-6 if Nikita Kucherov can't play--he is listed as a game-time decision. Johnson has seven goals and seven assists (14 points) in 27 games this season.

Kucherov was hurt Saturday and missed Monday's practice but head coach Jon Cooper listed him as a game-time decision for Tuesday's game vs. the Senators. “We got a little lucky," Cooper told reporters and Kucherov's fantasy owners feel the same way. He has four goals and 12 assists (16 points) in his last 12 games.

Greiss allowed one goal on 33 shots in the Islanders win in Florida last Thursday. The win snapped a brief two-game losing streak for Greiss, who comes into Tuesday's game at 7-0-0 with a 1.61 GAA and .946 SV% in seven home games this season. Tonight he takes on a Predators team that is 3-3-1 while scoring 2.86 goals per game in their last seven.
