Rinne allowed two goals on 19 shots in the Predators victory over the Ducks on Sunday. Rinne has now won four of his last five starts while posting a 2.01 GAA and .929 SV%. In his first start against Colorado, Rinne stopped 24 of 25 shots in a 4-1 win on November 7th.


Quick has not played since October 23rd after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Quick has been activated from IR but is only expected to serve as the Kings backup on Tuesday. Look for Quick to make his return to the crease in one of the Kings’ back-to-back on Thursday/Friday.

Scandella is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, so Nathan Beaulieu will suit up against the Sharks.

Neuvirth has been out since October 27th and remains day-to-day with a lower-body ailment. Neuvirth appears to be closer to returning than Brian Elliott, so he could take over as their No.1 once he’s healthy.

Elliott was placed on IR retroactive to November 15th and is expected to miss a few more weeks with a lower-body injury. With Elliott and Michal Neuvirth both out, the Flyers are left with Anthony Stolarz and Calvin Pickard in net.

Goulbourne has been in the lineup for the last two games but will be replaced by Michael Raffl on Tuesday. Goulbourne has averaged just 7:24 TOI/gm in his two contests this season.

Raffl has missed the last 14 games with a lower-body injury but will replace Tyrell Goulbourne in the lineup on Tuesday. Raffl had two assists and five shots on goal in nine games earlier this season.

Stolarz made 33 saves on 35 shots after replacing Calvin Pickard in the Flyers loss in Toronto on Saturday. It was a strong showing for the 24-year-old and likely earned himself a start tonight vs. Ottawa. Stolarz was 2-0-0 and stopped 64 of the 72 (.889 SV%) shots he faced in just three games with Lehigh Valley (AHL) before being called-up. He owns a 2.11 GAA and .931 SV% in limited NHL action.


Pilut is a 22-year-old undrafted free agent, who came over from Sweden this offseason. Pilut has dominated the AHL so far, tying for first among defensemen and third in the AHL with 22 points (3G / 19A) in just 16 games. Pilut is not expected to make his NHL debut on Tuesday.

Varlamov turned aside 27 of 29 shots in Colorado’s win over the Stars on Saturday. Varlamov is riding a four-game winning streak, posting a 2.26 GAA and .922 SV%. In his first game vs. the Predators, Varlamov allowed three goals on 33 shots in a 4-1 loss.

Petersen allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Kings win over the Oilers on Sunday. Petersen has performed very well for the Kings, going 3-3-0 with a 2.69 GAA, .921 SV% and one shutout in his first seven career NHL games. Tonight he faces a Canucks team that has lost eight of their last nine (1-7-1).

Frolik has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury and will likely miss Wednesday’s game vs. Dallas as well. Frolik remains day-to-day.

Valimaki missed Sunday’s game in Arizona and is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks with a lower-body injury. With Valimaki and Michael Stone out, Oliver Kylington is expected to remain in the Flames lineup moving forward.

Weber missed the first 24 games of the season but will make his debut vs. the Hurricanes on Tuesday. Weber will be back on the top pair and top power-play unit, which gives him immediate fantasy value. Weber is now 33-years-old but still owns a huge point shot. He had six goals and 16 points in 26 games last season, showcasing he can still be a double-digit goal-scorer with 20-plus assists if he stays healthy this season.

Price allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Canadiens loss to the Bruins on Saturday. Price has lost three straight games, giving up a combined 13 goals on 97 shots (.866 SV%). Price has had an up-and-down season, culminating in a 3.17 GAA and .897 SV% in 17 starts. Tonight the Hurricanes are in town, leading the NHL in shots per game (39.9) but 28th in the goals for (2.70 GF/pg).
