Kinkaid allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Devils win over the Canadiens on Wednesday. Kinkaid has won three of his last four starts while allowing just seven goals on 116 shots (.940 SV%). In his only start against the Islanders, Kinkaid gave up two goals on 32 shots in a 3-0 loss on November 3rd.
The Devils have activated Brian Boyle (upper-body) from IR.
Boyle has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury, but is set to return to the lineup on Friday. Boyle has been a force on the Devils power-play this season, scoring four PP goals with two even-strength goals in 15 games.
The Devils have activated Sami Vatanen (lower-body) from IR.
Vatanen has missed the last two games, but is expected to return to the Devils blueline on Friday afternoon. Vatanen will replace Eric Gryba in the lineup and has seven points (1G / 6A) in 17 games this season.

The Wild have recalled Kappo Kahkonen from Iowa (AHL) under emergency conditions.
Kahkonen has been impressive with Iowa this season, going 4-1-1 with a 0.98 GAA and .966 SV% in six games. Kahkonen is expected to backup Alex Stalock on Friday because Devan Dubnyk is dealing with an illness.
Dubnyk (illness) is not expected to be available on Friday.
The Wild recalled Kappa Kahkonen from the AHL because Dubynk is fighting an illness. Recalling Kahkonen suggests that Dubnyk will not be available and Kahkonen will backup Alex Stalock.

Kampfer will be a healthy scratch on Friday.
Kampfer is expected to be replaced by John Moore, who returns from injury on Friday. Kampfer has just one assist in 14 games this season.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
