The Avalanche recalled Sheldon Dries from Colorado (AHL).

Dries did not pick up a point in four games with the Avalanche earlier in the season, but has two points (1G / 1A) in five AHL games with the Eagles. The 24-year-old will likely play on the upcoming two-game road-trip because the Avalanche are without Tyson Jost, J.T. Compher and Sven Andrighetto.

The Predators have activated Pekka Rinne (undisclosed) from IR.

Rinne missed the last five games with an undisclosed injury, but will be available for Thursday’s game in Tampa Bay. Juuse Saros was 3-2-0 while allowing 13 goals on 157 shots (.917 SV%) in the five games without Rinne. The veteran was 3-1-0 with a 2.10 GAA and .929 SV% before getting hurt.

Hellebuyck will start Thursday's game in Finland vs. the Panthers.

Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Jets loss in Toronto last Saturday. Hellebuyck has not played very well as of late, losing four of his last six starts (2-3-1) while posting a 3.34 GAA and .898 SV%. This is not the type of performances we’ve been accustomed to seeing from Hellebuyck, but it could be due to the 33 shots per game he’s facing during that stretch.

Elliott leads the Flyers onto the ice for warmups.

Elliott surrendered two goals on 24 shots in the Flyers 3-0 loss in Boston last Thursday. Elliott has lost two in a row and is 1-2-0 with a 2.70 GAA and .904 SV% on the road this year. He will face a Ducks team that has scored the forth fewest goals in the NHL, but Elliott remains a risky option.

Saros leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Saros surrendered four goals on 34 shots in the Predators 5-3 loss to the Oilers on Saturday afternoon. Saros has been average this season, going 5-2-0 with a 2.73 GAA and .912 SV%. Pekka Rinne was in the starter’s crease this morning, but Saros was the first goalie off, suggesting that Saros will make his fifth straight start.

Juuse Saros
Lehner leads the Islanders onto the ice for warmups.

Lehner allowed one goal on 23 shots in the Islanders 6-1 win in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon. The win snapped a brief two-game losing skid for Lehner, who comes into Tuesday’s game at 3-2-1 with a 2.39 GAA, .929 SV% and one shutout in his first six starts with the Islanders.

Robin Lehner
Lundqvist will start Tuesday in San Jose.

Lundqvist allowed four goals on 40 shots in the Rangers 4-3 loss in Los Angeles on Sunday. Lundqvist has had a rough go as of late, losing four in a row while allowing a combined 15 goals on 140 shots (.893 SV%). Tonight he faces the Sharks for the second time this season—he allowed two goals on 43 shots in a 3-2 overtime win on October 11th.

Henrik Lundqvist
Elliott is expected to start Tuesday in Anaheim.

Brian Elliott
Condon will start Tuesday in Arizona.

Condon allowed five goals on 29 shots in the Coyotes 6-3 loss in Boston on October 8th. Condon has not started for over three weeks, but will draw back between the pipes tonight in Arizona. The Coyotes have been heating up, winning three in a row while outscoring their opponents 15-to-3.

Mike Condon
Andrighetto (lower-body) will not travel on Colorado’s two-game road-trip.

Andrighetto missed the first four games of the season with a lower-body injury and will miss at least two more games with another lower-body issue. The Avalanche will need to recall a forward or two for the road-trip.

Sven Andrighetto
Grubauer will start Friday in Vancouver.

Grubauer allowed three goals on 24 shots in Colorado’s 6-3 win over the Senators last Friday. After a loss in his Avalanche debut, Grubauer has won three in a row with a 2.34 GAA and .928 SV%. Tonight he faces a Canucks team that has won their last two games, but come in ranked 24th in the NHL in goal-scoring (2.79 GF/PG) and 20th on the power-play (17.5%).
