Bemstrom was hurt midway through Saturday's game in Florida and did not travel to Washington for Monday's game. Bemstrom remained in Columbus to undergo further evaluation, so look for Alexander Wennberg to replace him in the lineup vs. the Capitals.

Wennberg was a healthy scratch on Saturday but will replace Emil Bemstrom in the lineup on Monday. Bemstrom did not travel to Washington due to an injury, so expect Wennberg to skate with Cam Atkinson and Alexandre Texier.

Korpisalo allowed three goals on 19 shots in the Blue Jackets' loss to the Rangers last Thursday. Since his four-game winning streak was snapped, Korpisalo has lost three of his last four games while posting a 2.80 GAA and .889 SV%. Things could get worse on Monday. The Capitals have won six in a row while scoring 4.00 goals per game, so Korpisalo is a low-end option to start the week.

Conacher has frequently been called-up as a reserve forward but it looks like he'll play Monday with Anthony Cirelli and Alex Killorn. Conacher has one assist in three games with Tampa Bay this season and has 17 points (8G / 9A) in 20 AHL games.

Vasilevskiy allowed one goal on 38 shots in the Lightning's win over the Sharks on Thursday. It was a much-needed outing for Vasilevskiy, who had lost three of his previous four starts. Tonight he faces the Panthers for the third time this season--he has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.06 GAA and .908 SV% in the first two meetings.

McElhinney allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Lightning's loss to the Hurricanes on October 30th. Andrei Vasilevskiy has started seven of the last eight games but McElhinney will start the front-end of the Lightning's back-to-back vs. the Islanders. The veteran netminder has gone 1-1-1 with a 3.00 GAA and .916 SV% in three starts at Amalie Arena this season.

Stephens was a second-round pick (No.33 overall) in 2015 and could make his NHL debut on Monday. Stephens has appeared in 131 AHL games before finally getting called-up, including 24 this season and recording 10 points (5G / 5A). Stephens is skating with the fourth-line in the Lightning's morning skate.

Hogberg appeared in two games with Ottawa last week with Craig Anderson injured. With Anderson back on IR, Hogberg comes back from Belleville, where he is 7-6-0 with a 3.05 GAA and .897 SV% this season.

Anderson started Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia but left injured early in the first period. Anderson was hurt on a goal that ended up being disallowed on an offside review. With the veteran netminder on IR again, Anders Nilsson will be the primary starter with Marcus Hogberg coming up from Belleville to serve as his backup.

Nilsson gave up two goals on 15 shots after replacing Craig Anderson (knee) in Ottawa's loss in Philadelphia on Saturday. Nilsson has gone 0-4-0 while posting an ugly 4.77 GAA and .826 SV% in his last four appearances. He actually played well in his first start against the Bruins, stopping 19 of 21 shots in a 2-1 loss, but it remains a very difficult task for the 29-year-old and should be left on the bench on Monday.

Holtby allowed just two goals on 29 shots in the Capitals win in Anaheim last Friday. Holtby continues to play outstanding hockey, having won four in a row while posting a 2.47 GAA and .919 SV%. Holtby leads the NHL in win (15) with a 2.78 GAA (26th) and .910 SV% (t-26th). Tonight he faces a Blue Jackets team that has lost four in a row while scoring just 1.25 goals per game.

Backstrom missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury but will be back in the lineup on Monday night. Backstrom skated on a line with Alex Ovechkin in Sunday's practice so look for him to skate there vs. the Blue Jackets.

Simek is expected to miss two weeks as he undergoes treatment on his meniscus, which means Tim Heed will draw into the lineup on Sunday.

Ritchie was hurt early vs. The Capitals on Friday and will miss at least six weeks. With Ritchie sidelined long-term, the Ducks have recalled Sam Carrick from San Diego (AHL).
