Andersen gave up three goals on 20 shots before leaving last Wednesday’s game vs. Dallas with an upper-body injury. Andersen ended up missing the last two games, but will be back tonight in Tampa Bay. The 28-year-old is 1-1-1 with a 2.63 GAA and .929 SV% in three starts vs. the Lightning this season.
Highmore left Sunday’s game with an undisclosed injury after falling awkwardly into the boards. Highmore, who has just one goal in 10 games since being recalled, is expected to be replaced by Andreas Martinsen tonight.
Martinsen, who has picked up 12 goals and 14 assists (26 points) in 61 games with Rockford this season, could make his Blackhawks debut tonight. Matthew Highmore was hurt over the weekend and is presumably out tonight following Martinsen’s call-up.
Palat, who has been out since January 20th, skated on the second line and second power-play unit at the Lightning’s morning skate and will play tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. Palat is a huge addition to the Lightning lineup as he picked up eight goals and 22 assists (30 points) in 46 games before getting injured.
Holtby allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Capitals win over the Islanders last Friday. Philipp Grubauer struggled in Philadelphia on Sunday so the Capitals will start Holtby for just the second time in seven games tonight. Holtby hasn’t played that well recently, but has gone 19-6-2 with a 2.36 GAA and .923 SV% on home ice this season.
Darling stopped 26 of 29 shots in the Hurricanes win against the Islanders on Sunday. Darling has won two of his last three starts despite posting a 3.09 GAA and .880 SV%. The Darling hype train didn’t last long this season, but he will look to close out the 2018 season on a high-note and it looks like he’ll face the Oilers tonight on home-ice.
Vasilevskiy surrendered three goals on 27 shots in the Lighting’s loss to Boston on Saturday. He was given some rest on Sunday and despite saying he is fatigued, the Lightning will come back to Vasilevskiy tonight vs. Toronto. The 23-year-old has gone 2-1-0 with a 2.29 GAA and .915 SV% vs. the Maple Leafs this season.
Mrazek allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Flyers win over the Capitals on Sunday. It hasn’t been all gravy for Mrazek since coming over from Detroit. The 26-year-old has gone 5-5-1 with a 3.14 GAA and .888 SV% in 11 games with the Flyers but he’ll have a good shot at a ‘W’ tonight vs. a Red Wings team that has dropped 10 in a row.
Howard surrendered four goals on 36 shots in the Red Wings loss in Anaheim on Friday. The Red Wings appear content with rotating Howard and Jared Coreau and tonight will be Howard’s turn between the pipes. The Red Wings are spiralling out of control at the moment so don’t even consider plugging Howard into your lineups tonight.
Hanifin missed Sunday’s game in Brooklyn with a concussion that he suffered against the Flyers on Saturday. With just 10 games left in the regular season, there’s a chance that Hanifin’s season could be over. Concussions are tricky and there’s no sense risking him getting hurt with the Hurricanes’ season basically over.

Aho played Sunday vs. the Hurricanes but will come back out of the lineup tonight vs. Pittsburgh. Aho has just one goal and three assists in 22 games with the Islanders this season, but has sit far more often than he’s played.
Seidenberg has not been in the lineup since February 15th but will replace Sebastian Aho tonight vs. the Penguins. Seidenberg has just five assists in 22 games with the Islanders this season.
Gibson was pulled after he allowed five goals on 12 shots in the Islanders blowout loss to the Capitals last Thursday. Jaroslav Halak started the last two games, but the Isles will come back to Gibson tonight vs. the Penguins—he stopped 47 of 50 shots in a 3-2 OT loss in Pittsburgh in his season debut a few weeks ago.
Sieloff was a second round pick in 2012 but has only appeared in one NHL game since. Sieloff has picked up just six points (1G / 5A) in 47 AHL games this season, so he doesn’t bring any offence to the table.
O’Brien was sent down yesterday but brought back up after it was announced that Ryan Dzingel will not play on Tuesday. O’Brien has just one assist in nine games with Ottawa but has had more success in Belleville, picking up 13 goals and 15 assists (28 points) in 55 games.
Rask stopped all 23 shots that he faced in the Bruins shutout win in Tampa Bay on Saturday. Rask is riding a six game winning streak despite allowing a combined 17 goals on 174 shots (.902 SV%). Rask has gone 1-0-1 with a 2.40 GAA and .900 SV% vs. the Blue Jackets this season.
