NHL Hockey Player News

Bishop will start Wednesday against the Ducks.

Bishop had a terrible start against the Sharks on Monday, allowing four goals on just five shots before being pulled from the game. It was the second time in three starts that Bishop had to be relieved in favour of Kari Lehtonen. He’ll be hard-pressed to get his game back on track tonight, as he draws a difficult matchup in Anaheim.

Ben Bishop
Miller is expected to start against the Stars on Wednesday.

Miller came in for the injured John Gibson on Monday, stopping all twenty of the shots he faced as the Ducks shutout the Golden Knights 2-0. The extent of Gibson’s injury is currently unknown, but Miller should see the lion’s share of the work in his absence. Miller has proven to be a serviceable backup in the twilight of his career, posting a 7-4-5 record with a .918 SV% on the season. He draws a challenging matchup tonight at home against the Stars.

Ryan Miller
Condon will start Wednesday in Chicago.

Condon’s last start was February 13th against the Penguins, where he gave up four goals on just nine shots before being pulled in favour of Craig Anderson. Condon has just two wins and an .898 SV% in his last ten starts. He draws a mediocre matchup tonight against the Blackhawks.

Mike Condon
Kuemper is expected to start against the Jets on Tuesday.

Kuemper’s last start was February 10th against the Lightning, where he gave up three goals on just 14 shots before being pulled in favour of Jonathan Quick. Remarkably, it was Kuemper’s first regulation loss of the season. He boasts a 9-1-3 record and a .934 SV% on the year. He draws a difficult matchup in Winnipeg tonight.

Darcy Kuemper
Jones will start Tuesday against the Blues.

Jones stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced in the Sharks’ 5-2 win over the Stars on Sunday. Jones has stepped up his game of late, winning three of his last four starts with a .944 SV%. He draws a tough matchup tonight in St. Louis.

Martin Jones
Nilsson will start Tuesday against the Avalanche.

Nilsson was phenomenal on Saturday, stopping 44 of 45 shots in the Canucks’ 6-1 victory over the Bruins. The win was the first since November 30th for Nilsson, ending a losing streak of eight consecutive starts. He draws a decent matchup at home tonight against the Avalanche.

Anders Nilsson
Forsberg will start against the Senators on Wednesday.

Forsberg stopped 29 of the 32 shots he faced in a losing effort against the Kings on Monday. The Blackhawks’ default starter has struggled to take control of the starting job, going 1-5 in his last six starts with a .884 SV%. He draws a great matchup at home tonight against the Senators.

Anton Forsberg
Rittich will start against the Golden Knights on Wednesday.

Rittich stopped 30 of 32 shots in the Flames’ 2-1 loss to the Bruins on Monday. Despite the loss, it was arguably the strongest start Rittich has had since taking over for the injured Mike Smith. Smith did travel with the team for their two-game road swing in Vegas and Arizona, though he remains without a timetable for his return. In the meantime, Rittich draws a very rough matchup tonight on the road against Vegas.

David Rittich
Jones is expected to start Tuesday against the Blues.

Talbot will start Tuesday against the Bruins.

Talbot made 24 saves on 26 shots in Sunday’s 4-2 victory over the Avalanche. It was the first win since February 5th for Talbot, who had logged five straight losses while sporting a .897 SV% over that span. He draws an awful matchup tonight at home against the Bruins.

Cam Talbot
Hellebuyck will start Tuesday against the Kings.

Hellebuyck was solid again on Sunday, stopping 25 of 27 shots en route to a 7-2 win over the Panthers. The win makes three straight for Hellebuyck, who now owns a 31-8-8 record and a .923 SV% on the season. He draws a decent matchup tonight at home against the Kings.
