Halak will start Sunday in Colorado.

Halak allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Islanders loss in Winnipeg on Friday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Halak, who will make his fifth straight start tonight in Colorado—he has won two of his last four with a 3.20 GAA and .916 SV%.

Jaroslav Halak
Bernier will start Sunday vs. the Islanders.

Bernier gave up six goals on 31 shots in Colorado’s loss to Tampa Bay on December 16th. Bernier has either been really good or really bad with no real in between games—one of his bad outings came against the Islanders, who he’ll face again tonight. He surrendered six goals on 28 shots in a 6-4 loss in Brooklyn in early-November.

Jonathan Bernier
Schultz (lower-body) is not expected to return to the Penguins lineup on Sunday.

Schultz has been out since December 5th with a lower-body injury but he was on the ice for the Penguins morning skate, suggesting he is close to a return. Schultz stayed on late which suggests he’ll be out yet again but could be back for next Tuesday’s clash with the Flyers.
