Holtby is in the starter's crease at the Capitals morning skate.

Holtby gave up three goals on 35 shots in the Capitals win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Holtby has won four of his last six starts while posting a 2.52 GAA and .921 SV%. The Flyers have recalled TJ Brennan from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

The Flyers placed Brandon Manning on IR this morning, so Brennan comes up to take his spot on the roster. The 28-year-old continues to be a force in the AHL, collecting 15 points (2G / 13A) in 17 games with the Phantoms this season. Since 2009-10, Brennan has 394 points (136G / 258A) in 536 AHL games, but has just 13 points (5G / 8A) in 53 career NHL games.

The Flyers have recalled Alex Lyon from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

The Flyers placed Michal Neuvirth on IR this morning, so Lyon has been recalled to serve as Brian Elliott’s backup in Wednesday’s game in Edmonton. Lyon has gone 8-6-1 with a 3.31 GAA and .894 SV% in 16 games with the Phantoms this season.

The Flyers have placed Michal Neuvirth (undisclosed) on injured reserve.

Neuvirth has not started since November 28th, so he must have suffered the injury at practice this week. Going to IR means that Neuvirth has to miss at least two games and Alex Lyon was recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL) to serve as Brian Elliott’s backup for the time being.

The Flyers have placed Brandon Manning (undisclosed) on injured reserve.

It’s unclear when Manning sustained the injury, but you have to figure that it happened Monday in Calgary. His move to IR means that he will miss at least two games and TJ Brennan has been recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL) to take his place on the roster.

Anderson will start Wednesday in Anaheim.

Anderson stopped all 27 shots that he faced in after replacing Mike Condon in the Senators 5-0 loss in Winnipeg on Sunday.
