Lehtonen will start Wednesday in Brooklyn.

Lehtonen allowed one goal on 25 shots in the Stars shootout win in New York on Monday. It was a strong performance from Lehtonen who has now allowed just seven goals on the last 95 shots (.926 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he takes on an Islanders team that has surprisingly dropped four of their last six (2-3-1).

Kari Lehtonen
Hall (lower-body) will not practice Wednesday; questionable to travel to Montreal.

Hall left last night’s game vs. the Kings after scoring two goals in 16:31 of ice-time. Hall has been excellent in 30 games this season, recording 11 goals and 20 assists (31 points). Monitor his status before the Devils depart for Montreal.

Taylor Hall
Anderson is expected to start Wednesday vs. the Rangers.

Anderson allowed five goals on 50 shots in the Senators loss to the Sharks on Saturday. The Senators appear to be in free fall mode right now and Anderson has not recorded a win since November 11th—nine straight appearances. One of those losses came against the Rangers, who he will face again tonight—he allowed two goals on 26 shots in a 3-0 loss in New York in mid-November.

Craig Anderson
Boychuk (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

Boychuk has missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury and is listed as a game-time decision for the second straight game. Boychuk would likely replace Ryan Pulock in the lineup if he does play—he has three goals and five assists (eight points) in 27 games.

Johnny Boychuk
Halak will start Wednesday vs. the Stars.

Halak allowed one goal on 32 shots in the Islanders win over the Washington Capitals on Monday. In his last six starts and one relief appearance, Halak has posted a 2.30 GAA and .929 SV% as he continues to get the bulk of the starts over Thomas Greiss. Tonight he faces the Stars for the second time this season—he allowed five goals on 29 shots in a 5-0 loss in Dallas in the first meeting.

The Blue Jackets have recalled Jordan Schroeder from Cleveland (AHL).

Schroeder has recorded seven points (2G / 5A) in 13 games with the Monsters this season but has no points in six games with the Blue Jackets. His call-up suggests that Brandon Dubinsky won’t be ready for Thursday’s game after getting hurt in a fight on Tuesday.

Jordan Schroeder
Ward leads the Hurricanes onto the ice for warmups.

Ward allowed five goals on 33 shots in the Hurricanes loss in San Jose last Thursday. With Scott Darling starting last night’s loss, Ward is expected to go tonight in Vegas. Ward is 2-1-1 with a 3.52 GAA and .898 SV% on the road this season.

Cam Ward
Holtby will start Tuesday vs. the Avalanche.

Holtby was pulled after allowing three goals on 12 shots in the Capitals’ loss in Brooklyn last night. The Capitals likely pulled Holtby to ensure he would be fresh for tonight’s game vs. the Avalanche. The 28-year-old has gone 10-4-0 with a 2.07 GAA and .936 SV% on home ice this season.
