Read cleared waivers earlier this week so he has been sent to the AHL to make room for Danick Martel to come up. Read had no points in four games with the Flyers this season.
Alt has appeared in six NHL games while filling first for an injured Shayne Gostisbehere and now a suspended Radko Gudas. He has swapped places with Samuel Morin and returns to Lehigh Valley, where he has two goals and four assists in 11 games.
Martel, 22, was an undrafted free agent, who is playing in his third full AHL season after three years in the QMJHL. Martel has been on fire with the Phantoms this season, recording 14 goals and five assists (19 points) in 17 games this season.
Morin was supposed to get called up a few weeks ago, but an injury held him down. the former first round pick (No.11 overall in 2013) has five points (1G / 4A) in 10 AHL games this season and tonight he is expected make his season debut, which would be just his second career NHL game.
Elliott stopped all 13 shots that he faced after replacing Michal Neuvirth in last night’s loss to the Canucks. Wth Neuvirth struggling, Elliott will return to the crease tonight, searching for his first win since November 9th. Despite only winning one game in six starts, Elliott has posted an impressive 1.87 GAA and .938 SV% in November.
Sbisa will miss his fourth consecutive game with a lower-bod injury, but it appears he is nearing a return to the Golden Knights blueline. Monitor Swiss’s status as Vegas heads into their back-to-back with the Sharks and Coyotes on Friday and Saturday.

In seven starts this season, the 29-year-old has gone 3-4-0 with a 3.59 GAA and .886 SV%, so you might want to look elsewhere tonight.
Allen gave up three goals on 23 shots in the Blues overtime win in Vancouver on Saturday. St. Louis is the only team who have Wednesday off, so Allen gets their last game before the short American Thanksgiving break. Allen will take on the Oilers for the second time in a week—he stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 4-1 win in Edmonton last Thursday.
Howard surrendered four goals on 37 shots in the Red Wings’ overtime loss to Colorado on Sunday. Howard had a 3-1 lead with less than seven minutes left in the third period, but the Red Wings were unable to hold on. Tonight he faces an Oilers team that is coming off of an 8-3 loss last night—Howard is 4-2-2 with a 2.47 GAA and .921 SV% at Little Caesars Arena.
