Returning Lagace to Chicago suggests that Marc-Andre Fleury will be back on Thursday. The 26-year-old goes back to the AHL where he is 16-8-1 with a 2.33 GAA and .917 SV% in 29 games.
Senyshyn was a first round pick in 2015 and could make his NHL debut this week if the Bruins elect to give some players some rest before the playoffs. Senyshyn has 14 goals and 10 assists (24 points) in 62 games with Providence this season.
Frederic, 21, has not recorded a point in 13 games with the Bruins this season but as 11 goals and 11 assists (22 points) in 51 AHL contests.
Malkin has missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury but was on the ice for Wednesday’s practice and will be a game-time decision for Thursday’s game vs. the Red Wings. Malkin centred Phil Kessel and Bryan Rust in today’s session.

Daccord, 22, was a seventh-round pick of the Senators in 2015 and joined the Senators after his Junior Year at Arizona State University. Daccord was 21-12-1 with a 2.36 GAA and .926 SV% at ASU and with the Senators 30 points out of the playoffs with two games left, they will get a look at Daccord tonight in Buffalo.
Smith was a healthy scratch on Monday but will replace Filip Chytil as a forward on Wednesday. Smith had one assist and eight PIMS as a forward in Philadelphia on Sunday.
Gilmour has been a healthy scratch for the last three games but will replace Frederik Claesson on Wednesday. Claesson has no points, a minus-2 rating and seven shots in four games with the Rangers this season.

Buchnevich missed Monday’s game in New Jersey and is questionable to play vs. the Senators. Buchnevich took part in the morning skate but remains a question mark, so Brendan Smith is expected to dress as a forward.
Chytil will miss Wednesday’s game vs. the Senators but head coach David Quinn said that he “may play before the season ends.” Brendan Smith will dress as a forward to replace Chytil tonight.
Harpur will be scratched in New York and Christian Wolanin was recalled from Belleville (AHL) to replace him in the lineup.
Wolanin was assigned to the AHL on Tuesday to help Belleville but has been called up because Ben Harpur is sick and will not play on Wednesday. Wolanin has three assists in his last five games and 12 points (4G /8A) in 28 games this year.
Lundqvist allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Rangers loss in New Jersey on Monday. Lundqvist is still searching for his 20th win of the season, having lost five straight while posting a 3.65 GAA and .897 SV%. Tonight he faces the Senators for the third time this season—he is 1-1-0 with a 2.5 GAA and .923 SV% in the first two meetings.
