Chychrun has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but he will play in his second game of the season tonight. Chychrun was a minus-2 with three shots while playing 20:39 TOI in his season debut in Detroit.

Kuemper allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Coyotes loss to the Bruins on Saturday. With Antti Raanta still out, Kuemper will make his seventh consecutive start tonight. Kuemper is 2-3-1 with a 2.70 GAA and .912 SV% in his previous six starts. Kuemper has been solid this season, including a 2-2-0 record, 2.03 GAA and .938 SV% on home-ice.

Luongo gave up four goals on 24 shots in the Panthers loss in New York on Saturday. Luongo had his four-game winning streak snapped last Thursday and has now lost two in a row while allowing 10 goals on 60 shots (.833 SV%). In his first start vs. the Lightning, Bobby Lu stopped all 13 shots that he faced before leaving the game with an injury.

Rittich surrendered two goals on 22 shots in the Flames blowout win over the Golden Knights on Monday. The win extended Rittich’s winning streak to five games, stopping 105 of 113 shots (.929 SV%) with one shutout over that span. Rittich has impressed the season, but has difficult matchup tonight with the Jets in town.

Miller has missed the last 13 games with a hand injury, but is expected to play Wednesday in Detroit. Miller is officially listed as a game-time decision, so Jakub Zboril will dress for warmups as a precaution.

Sprong was in the lineup for the last two games, but will be replaced by Sidney Crosby on Wednesday. Sprong has torched the AHL throughout his career, but has just four assists in 14 games with Pittsburgh this season.

Allen stopped 25 of 26 shots in the Blues 2-0 loss to the Kings on Monday. Allen has had his fair share of struggles so far this season, but has allowed just three goals on 78 shots (.962 SV%) in his last three starts. Allen’s play is improving, but he has a terrible matchup tonight in Nashville.



Price allowed five goals on 34 shots in the Canadiens overtime loss to the Capitals on Monday. The loss moved Price to 3-2-2 with a 3.97 GAA and .887 SV% in seven starts in November. Tonight he takes on a Devils team that has lost five of their last seven (2-4-1) while averaging just 2.29 goals per game.

Lyon will make his first NHL start of the season tonight in Buffalo. He was 2-2-0 with a 3.54 GAA and .910 SV% in four starts with Lehigh Valley (AHL) before being called-up. Lyon is 4-2-1 with a 2.75 GAA and .905 SV% in 11 career NHL appearances.


Crawford stopped 39 of 40 shots in the Blackhawks win over the Wild on Sunday. Crawford rediscovered his game last week, impressively stopping 98 of the 100 shots (.980 SV%) he faced in his three starts. The 33-year-old has been inconsistent this season and has really struggled on the road—1-4-0 with a 3.69 GAA and .892 SV% in five games.

Rinne allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Predators win over the Lightning on Monday. Since returning from injury, Rinne has gone 5-1-1 with a 1.42 GAA, .951 SV% and one shutout in his last seven starts. Tonight he faces a Blues team that just fired Mike Yeo in a building where Rinne is 5-1-0 this season.

Scandella was hurt in Monday’s win in Pittsburgh after being blasted in the foot by a Evgeni Malkin shot. Scandella will be replaced by Nathan Beaulieu vs. the Flyers.

Berglund was not on the ice for the Sabres morning skate and will come out of the lineup vs. the Flyers. With Berglund out, Evan Rodrigues will draw back into the lineup. Berglund will be evaluated later today.

Mermis, 24, has played just one game with the Coyotes and returns to the Roadrunners where he has five points (1G / 4A) in nine games. His return to the AHL suggests that one or both of Jakob Chychrun and Alex Goligoski will return on Wednesday.

Stralman will miss his sixth straight game with an upper-body injury, which means Erik Cernak will remain on the Lightning blueline.

Palat was on the ice for the Lightning’s morning skate, but will miss his 14th consecutive game. Palat is nearing a return, so monitor his status heading into Friday’s game vs. the Blackhawks.
