Gibson allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Ducks’ loss to the Sabres on Sunday. Despite posting a steady 2.66 GAA and .924 SV% in his first six games of the season, Gibson sits at 2-2-1. Luckily for him, the Montreal Canadiens are in town and no offence has been as offensively challenged as them so far—they are averaging just 1.43 goals for per game in their first seven contests.

Dubnyk allowed five goals on 35 shots in the Wild’s loss to Columbus last Saturday. With almost a full week off, look for Dubnyk to get back between the pipes tonight in Winnipeg. The Wild’s No.1 netminder has had a tough start to the season, giving up 11 goals on 104 shots (.894 SV%) and it won’t get any easier with an extremely banged up team in front of him.

Holtby allowed one goal on 29 shots in the Capitals’ 2-0 shutout loss to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Holtby has had a nice start to the season, winning three of five games while posting a 2.19 GAA and .931 SV%. The Capitals will go with Holtby in the first game of their back-to-back with Philipp Grubauer going Saturday against the Panthers.

Burakovsky has just two assists in seven games in the Capitals’ top-6 so he was moved to the third line with Tom Wilson taking his spot with Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie. Burakovsky will be difficult to trust in fantasy circles while he’s outside the top-6.

Andre Burakovsky has had a slow start to the season, so Wilson will move up to a line with Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie for tonight’s game in Detroit. This obviously helps Wilson’s fantasy status, but he has yet to record a point one four shots in three games this season. The 23-year-old has a career-high of just seven goals and 23 points.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 18 shots after replacing Anders Nilsson in the Canucks’ loss in Boston last night. With Nilsson struggling vs. the Bruins, Markstrom is expected to face the Sabres tonight. Markstrom has a 2.88 GAA and .901 SV% in five appearances so far this season. Despite a tough start, the Sabres represent a solid matchup.

Jones allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Sharks’ win over the Canadiens on Tuesday. After a poor first two starts to the season, Jones has won each of his last two outings while stopping 51 of 55 shots (.927 SV%). Tonight he will face a Devils team off to a hot-start—New Jersey comes in at 6-1-0 with a 4.29 GF/PG in their first seven games.

Mrazek stopped 19 of 21 shots after replacing Jimmy Howard in the Red Wings’ loss in Toronto on Wednesday. After allowing a goal on the first shot that he faced, Mrazek settled in and nearly led a Red Wings’ comeback. So far this season he has stopped 72 of 80 shots (.900 SV%) and he will be in tough tonight vs. the high-powered Capitals.

Johnson allowed five goals on 31 shots in the Sabres’ overtime loss in Vegas on Tuesday, but with Robin Lehner feeling under the weather, Johnson will start tonight vs. Vancouver. Johnson has posted a 4.08 GAA and .863 SV% in three starts and one relief appearance. Vancouver comes in sitting at 2-3-1 while averaging 2.50 goals for per game (t-26th in the NHL).

Weegar sat as a healthy scratch through the first five games of the season, but will draw in tonight vs. the Penguins. The 23-year-old defenseman had 14 goals and 22 assists (36 points) in 60 games with Springfield (AHL) last season.

McCoshen registered one goal while averaging 14:26 TOI/GM in his first five games of the season. McCoshen will be replaced by MacKenzie Weegar vs. the Penguins.

Price allowed four goals on 34 shots in the Canadiens’ loss in San Jose on Tuesday. Al Montoya got the nod on Wednesday, so they’ll come back to Price tonight in Anaheim. It has been a terrible start to the year for Price and the Canadiens. The former Vezina winner has lost five consecutive games while allowing a whopping 17 goals on 120 shots (.858 SV%).

Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Lightning’s 3-2 win in Detroit on Monday. He was given a day off on Tuesday, but will make his seventh start of the season tonight in Columbus. So far this season, Vasilevskiy has gone 5-1-0 with a 3.00 GAA and .914 SV%, but he has played much better than the stats suggest.
