
Eriksson played just 1:09 TOI before leaving last night’s game with an apparent lower-body injury. The Canucks are back in action on Tuesday, so monitor Eriksson’s status during the morning skate.
Folin suffered a potentially serious apparent arm/wrist injury on Sunday. Folin missed Monday’s practice and will undergo an MRI later today. Expect an update later on Monday or Tuesday morning, but Nate Prosser should draw in on Tuesday.
Raanta allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Rangers’ win in New Jersey on February 25th. Raanta has won his last two starts while stopping 65 of 70 shots (.929 SV%). Tonight he will face the Lightning for the second time this season—he stopped 31 of 32 shots in a 6-1 win way back in October.
Rask allowed two goals on 21 shots in the Bruins’ loss to the Rangers on Thursday. Anton Khudobin started on Saturday so they’ll come back to Rask tonight in Ottawa. Rask has gone 16-7-4 with a 2.22 GAA and .919 SV% on the road this season, but lost his first start against the Senators this year.
Lehtonen was excellent, stopping 41 of 42 shots in the Stars’ win in Florida on Saturday. It was Lehtonen’s best start of the season and obviously earned him another start tonight in Washington. The Capitals are the best team in the NHL and Lehtonen allowed four goals on 22 shots in a 4-3 OT loss in his first start vs. Washington.
Hellebuyck allowed one goal on 23 shots in the Jets’ win over the Avalanche on Saturday. Hellebuyck won both games of the Jets’ weekend back-to-back, while stopping 51 of 52 shots (.981 SV%). Tonight he will take on a Sharks team that has won four of their last six while averaging 2.67 goals per game.
Phaneuf missed Monday’s morning skate and is questionable for tonight’s game because of an illness. If Phaneuf can’t play, Frederik Claesson will draw in and play with Erik Karlssson on the top pair.
Pavelec has been sidelined by a knee injury since February 7th and will miss a minimum of two weeks after having his knee scoped on Monday. With Pavelec out, Connor Hellebuyck will likely start nearly every game until he is back.
Anderson allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Senators’ win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Anderson has won three straight while posting a 1.33 GAA and .955 SV% and tonight he will take the Bruins for the second time this season. He stopped 19 of 20 shots in a 3-1 win in the first meeting.
Holtby allowed one goal on 31 shots in the Capitals’ win over the Flyers on Saturday. Holtby is a ridiculous 19-0-1 with a 1.71 GAA, .935 SV% and five shutouts since January 1st. Holtby continues to be the No.1 fantasy netminder and is a must-start whenever he gets the nod. Dallas comes in having won four of their last six.
Di Giuseppe left Sunday’s game in Arizona after playing just 8:51 TOI and did not return. This is a tough break for a young forward, who has played well since being called up in mid-February. Expect an update before tomorrow’s game in Colorado.
Graovac, 23, has spent the majority of the season in Minnesota, where he has high points (7G / 1A) in 49 games this season. The former seventh round pick heads back to Iowa, where he has seven goals and one assist in 10 games.
Sproul left Saturday’s game in Edmonton after spraining his knee while falling on his own. Sproul had to be helped off of the ice and there is no timetable for his return to the Red Wings’ lineup. Robbie Russo was recalled from Grand Rapids (AHL) to take his spot in the lineup on Tuesday.
Vasilevskiy stopped 31 of 32 shots in the Lightning’s win in Buffalo on Saturday. Vasilevskiy has won three in a row while posting a 1.61 GAA and .951 SV% and will try and continue his run tonight vs. the Rangers. New York comes in having lost three of their last four games.
Russo, 24, has scored seven goals with 24 assists (31 points) in 56 games with the Griffins this season. He has been a nice free agent signing out of the University of Notre Dame and will make his NHL debut on Tuesday with Ryan Sproul (knee) sidelined.
