Lehtonen allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Stars loss in Minnesota on Thursday. Despite the loss, Lehtonen will start again tonight vs. the Lightning. Lehtonen has lost five of his last six starts while posting a 3.24 GAA and .891 SV%. Tonight he will face a Tampa Bay team that has won three of their last four.

Elliott allowed one goal on 34 shots in the Flames’ win over the Flyers on Wednesday. It was a really good outing for Elliott, who has four wins in his last five starts while posting a 2.22 GAA and 925 SV%. The 31-year-old is 1-1-0 with a 2.52 GAA and .815 SV% in two starts against Vancouver this season.

Rinne allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Predators’ win over the Stars last Sunday. After a long bye week, Rinne will get back between the pipes tonight in Minnesota. Rinne has gone 3-1-0 with a 2.26 GAA and .917 SV% in his last five starts and has gone 1-1-1 with a 2.64 GAA and .899 SV% in three starts vs. Minnesota this season.

Talbot made 33 saves on 36 shots in the Oilers’ win over the Flyers on Thursday. Talbot has won three of his last four while posting a 2.40 GAA, .913 SV% and one shutout. Tonight he faces the Blackhawks for the third time this season—he has gone 1-1-0 with a 2.40 GAA and .922 SV% in the firs two meetings between these two squads.

Budaj allowed four goals on 21 shots in the Kings’ loss to Arizona on Thursday. Budaj has struggled mightily as of late, losing three of his last four while allowing a combined 16 goals on 96 shots (.833 SV%). The one win came against the Panthers, who he will face again tonight—he stopped 36 of 39 shots in a 6-3 win in Florida before the Kings’ bye week.

Miller allowed four goals on 42 shots in the Canucks’ loss in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Jacob Markstrom started on Thursday, but Miller gets the call tonight vs. the Flames. Miller has just one win in his last seven games, but has gone 2-0-0 with an impressive 0.96 GAA, .972 SV% and one shutout against Calgary this season.

Vasilevskiy allowed one goal on 38 shots in the Lightning’s loss in Minnesota last Friday. Vasilevskiy has lost three in a row, but will start in the first game of the game of the Lightning’s back-to-back and takes on a Stars team that has lost seven of their last eight games.

Mrazek allowed one goal on 28 shots in the Red Wings’ 2-0 loss to St. Louis on Wednesday. Mrazek has played a lot better in February, posting a 2.51 GAA and a .926 SV%, but that has only translated into a 2-3-1 record. On of those losses came vs. the Capitals—he allowed five goals on 30 shots in a 6-3 loss in Washington on February 9th.

Holtby allowed four goals on 22 shots in the Capitals’ win over the Ducks last Saturday. With a week off, Holtby will start game one of the Capitals’ back-to-back this afternoon in Detroit. He has won eight consecutive games and draws an excellent matchup against a Red Wings’ team that ranks third last in the NHL.

Price gave up four goals on 36 shots in the Canadiens’ loss in Boston on February 12th. During the bye week, the Canadiens fired their head coach and hired Claude Julien and he will turn to Price this afternoon. He has not faced the Jets, but has gone 17-6-3 with a 2.20 GAA and .927 SV% on home ice.

Holtby allowed four goals on 22 shots in the Capitals’ win over the Ducks last Saturday. With a week off, Holtby will start game one of the Capitals’ back-to-back this afternoon in Detroit. Smith stopped 41 of 44 shots in the Coyotes’ win in Los Angeles on Thursday. Smith has won three in a row while posting an impressive .1.95 GAAm .946 SV% and one shutout. He has turned in some great performances this season, but is too inconsistent to trust on a regular basis. However, he is 2-0-1 with a 1.93 GAA and .953 SV% in three starts vs. the Sharks this season.


Hellebuyck allowed four goals on 39 shots in the Jets’ loss in Pittsburgh on Thursday. It’s not easy to slow the Penguins down and Hellebuyck, like so many others, struggled. This afternoon he will look for revenge against Montreal. In his first start against the Canadiens this season, Hellebuyck was pulled after he allowed three goals on seven shots in the first 14 minutes.

Greiss allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Islanders’ win over the Rangers’ on Thursday. Greiss has won three of his last five, despite allowing a combined 17(!) goals on 152 shots (.888 SV%). He will get the nod in the first games of the Islanders-Devils home-and-home and comes in at 6-6-2 with a 2.68 GAA and .919 SV% on the road.

Anderson allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Senators loss to Buffalo on Tuesday. Mike Condon was given the start on Thursday, but Anderson will start his third in four games tonight in Toronto. In his limited playing time, Anderson has gone 5-2-0 with a 2.16 GAA and .937 SV% on the road this season.
