Markstrom allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Canucks loss in Florida on Tuesday. With Anders Nilsson going last night, Markstrom is expected to draw back into the crease tonight. He has lost three of his last five starts but has gone 5-1-0 in his career against the Hurricanes. He might have a chance at a W tonight with Scott Darling in the opposite crease.

Bobrovsky will start Friday in Washington.
Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Capitals on Tuesday. Bobrovsky has lost his last three starts and has just one win in his last seven games. Tonight he will face the Capitals again and comes in 0-2-0 with a 3.56 GAA and .854 SV% against them this year.

Gilmour will make his NHL debut on Friday.

Pavelec allowed two goals on 18 shots after replacing Henrik Lundqvist in the Rangers loss to the Bruins on Wednesday. The Rangers are in free-fall mode right now and are dealing with a couple of key injuries, so Pavelec shouldn’t be considered a safe option even with the Flames coming in on a back-to-back.

Lee will be back on the Islanders top line on Friday.

Greiss will start Friday vs. the Red Wings.
Greiss gave up five goals on 50 shots in the Islanders loss in Toronto on January 31st. He has not seen a lot of playing time recently, but is expected to get the nod tonight after Jaroslav Halak started in Buffalo yesterday. In his last six starts, Greiss has gone 2-4-0 while allowing at least four goals in five of those six games—during that stretch he has a 4.50 GAA and .878 SV% while facing an average of 36.8 shots per game.

Archibald was recalled from Utica (AHL) and is expected to make his season debut on Friday.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
