Talbot will start Friday in Anaheim.
Talbot allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Oilers loss in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Talbot has won four of his last six starts but will still need to be better if the Oilers actually want to get back into the playoff picture. Talbot is under .500 on the road, but stopped 33 of 34 shots in a 2-1 shootout win in his first start against the Ducks.

Anderson will start Saturday in Toronto.
Anderson allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Senators win over the Predators on Thursday. Don’t look now, but Anderson has a three game winning streak while allowing nine goals on 107 shots (.916 SV%). He comes into Saturday’s game at 2-1-0 with a 3.37 GAA and .911 SV% vs. the Maple Leafs this season.
Injury
Ward is out indefinitely with a “significant” upper-body injury.
Scheifele (upper-body) will return to the Jets lineup on Friday.

Hellebuyck will start Friday vs. the Blues.
Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Jets win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. Hellebuyck has won five of his last seven starts (5-1-1) with a 1.94 GAA, .934 SV% and two shutouts. Hellebuyck has been on of the best goalies in the NHL this season, losing in regulation just six times in 42 starts. He posted a 24-save shutout in his first start against the Blues this season.

Kinkaid will start Saturday in Columbus.
Kinkaid surrendered three goals on 25 shots in the Devils loss to the Flames on Thursday. After a three-game winning streak, Kinkaid has lost his last two starts while allowing a combined seven goals on 45 shots (.844 SV%). Kinkaid will take on a Blue Jackets team who is on the tail-end of a back-to-back and riding a five-game losing skid (0-4-1).

Gibson (lower-body) was the first goalie off of the ice at the Ducks morning skate.
Gibson stopped all 25 shots that he faced before leaving the Ducks win in Boston on January 30th with a lower-body injury. Gibson went on to miss the last four games, but is expected to start tonight vs. the Oilers. Gibson will be returning against an Oilers team that is still trying to keep their season alive—he stopped 33 of 34 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss to Edmonton on January 4th.

Rask is now 19-0-2 in his last 21 starts and is a must-start tonight against Buffalo. He has not faced the Sabres this season, but is 14-4-2 with a 1.89 GAA and .932 SV% on home ice.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
