Hamonic has been sidelined with a knee injury since January 7th, but was on the ice for Tuesday’s practice and has a decent chance to be in the lineup on Thursday. Hamonic has two goals and 10 assists (12 points) in 35 games this season—monitor his status leading up to Thursday’s game.

Travis Hamonic
Quine (upper-body) will not travel to Dallas for Thursday's game.

Quine is dealing with an upper-body injury which will keep him from traveling on the start of the Islanders’ upcoming six-game road-trip. With Quine out, Josh Ho-Sang has been called up and could make his NHL debut on Thursday.

Alan Quine
Burmistrov (upper-body) will return to the Arizona lineup on Tuesday.

Burmistrov missed Sunday’s game vs. the Sabres with an upper-body injury, but will return to the lineup tonight in Boston. Burmistrov will centre the fourth line with Lawson Crouse and Josh Jooris on his wings. He has one goal and eight assists (nine points) in 18 games since being claimed by the Coyotes.

Alex Burmistrov

Sergei Bobrovsky
The Rangers have acquired Brendan Smith from the Red Wings for a second and third round pick.

Smith has spent the first six and a half seasons of his NHL career with the Red Wings but the pending unrestricted free agent has been traded because the Red Wings are selling contracts as their 25-year playoff streak appears to be coming to an end. Smith never really developed into the offensive force the Red Wings were hoping when they picked him in the first round in 2007. Smith won’t be in the lineup on Tuesday and has just two goals and three assists (five points) in 33 games this season.

Brendan Smith
Enstrom (lower-body) will return to the Jets' lineup on Tuesday.

Enstrom has missed the last five games with a lower-body injury, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Wild. Enstrom will skate with Dustin Byfuglien and comes into play with 14 points (1G / 13A) in 55 games this season.

Tobias Enstrom
The Blue Jackets have agreed to a one-year, two-way deal with Marc-Andre Bergeron.

Bergeron has been with Cleveland (AHL) where he has registered three goals and six assists (nine points) in 13 games. The 36-year-old defenseman is back in North America after spending the last three years in Switzerland. He was added as blueline depth for a Blue Jackets team with their eyes on the playoffs.

Marc-Andre Bergeron
Smith will start Tuesday in Boston.

Smith allowed six goals on 29 shots in the Coyotes’ loss in Chicago last Thursday. Smith missed the last two games with an illness, but will get back in goal tonight in Boston. Smith has gone 6-7-3 with a 2.95 GAA and .916 SV% in 17 starts on the road this season.

Mike Smith
Rinne will likely start Tuesday in Buffalo.

Rinne allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Predators’ win over the Oilers on Sunday. Rinne has won three of his last six starts despite posting a hideous 4.31 GAA and .846 SV%. Rinne heads into Buffalo at 8-10-2 with a 2.71 GAA and .915 SV% in 20 road starts this season.

Pekka Rinne
Hellebuyck will start Tuesday vs. the Wild.

Hellebuyck allowed five goals on 37 shots in the Jets’ loss in Toronto last Tuesday. Hellebucyk has started the last seven games, going 3-2-2 while allowing a combined 20 goals (.913 SV%). In his first game against the Wild, Hellebuyck stopped all 10 shots he faced after replacing an injured Ondrej Pavelec.

Connor Hellebuyck
Price is expected to start Tuesday vs. the Blue Jackets.

Price allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Canadiens’ win in Toronto on Saturday. Al Montoya started yesterday, so Price should start tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. February hasn’t been overly kind to Price, who is 3-6-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .903 SV% in nine starts this month.

Carey Price
Allen will start Tuesday vs. the Oilers.

Allen allowed three goals on 41 shots in the Blues’ loss in Chicago on Sunday. Allen is on a three-game losing streak while posting a 2.71 GAA and .922 SV%. He will face the Oilers for the first time since October—he stopped 20 of 22 shots in a 3-1 loss in Edmonton in their first meeting.

Jake Allen
The Rangers have recalled Steven Kampfer from Hartford (AHL).

Kampfer has registered four goals and 12 assists (16 points) in 41 games with Hartford this season. With Kevin Klein and Dan Girardi both sidelined, Kampfer will come up from Hartford to serve as the Rangers’ sixth defenseman on Tuesday.

Steve Kampfer
Niemi was the first goalie off of the ice at the Stars morning skate.

Niemi surrendered three goals on 22 shots in the Stars’ loss in Winnipeg on February 14th. Niemi has only started twice this month and he lost both of those starts while allowing a combined six goals on 56 shots (.893 SV%). He draws a terrible matchup tonight vs. a high-scoring Penguins team.

Antti Niemi
The Blackhawks have signed Michal Rozsival to a one-year contract extension.

In the expansion draft you need to expose one defenseman who have played 40 games this season or 70 games combined in the last two seasons and be under contract next season—that’s what this signing is for. The Blackhawks have signed Rozsival in order to expose him to Las Vegas this summer.
