

Darling allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Hurricanes’ 5-1 loss to the Lightning on Tuesday. It wasn’t as bad as the stat line suggests, but it was Darling’s fourth loss in six games—he has a 2.64 GAA and .896 SV% so far. It doesn’t get any easier for the first-year starter as he faces the highest scoring team on the road tonight.



Andersen allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Maple Leafs’ win over the Kings on Monday. It was a great bounce-back outing for Andersen, who has now won six of his eight starts with a 3.24 GAA and .900 SV%. Tonight he will take on a Hurricanes team that has struggled to start the season—they are 3-3-1 with just 2.43 goals for per game (27th).

Gibson allowed two goals on 33 shots in the Ducks win in Philadelphia on Tuesday. Gibson has won two in a two while turning aside 80 of 84 shots (.952 SV%). He has now won four of his eight starts with a 2.48 GAA and a .933 SV% and will go for win No.5 tonight in Florida—they are averaging 3.13 goals for per game through their first eight games.

Holtby allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Capitals’ win in Detroit last Saturday. Holtby has won four of his six starts while posting a 2.32 GAA and .929 SV% to start the season and he is a must-start in his seventh start of the season tonight in Vancouver.

Talbot stopped 42 of 44 shots in the Oilers 2-1 overtime loss in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Talbot has been much better in his last three starts, stopping 94 of 99 shots (.950 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he will face a Dallas team that is 20th in the NHL scoring (2.89 GF/PG) through their first nine games.

Holtby allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Capitals’ win in Detroit last Saturday. Holtby has won four of his six starts while posting a 2.32 GAA and .929 SV% to start the season and he is a must-start in his seventh start of the season tonight in Vancouver.



Varlamov allowed three goals on 37 shots in Colorado’s win over the Stars on Tuesday. Varlamov has gone 4-2-0 with a 2.34 GAA, .929 SV% and one shutout through his first six starts of 2017-18. Tonight he will take on a Vegas team that has surprisingly started the season at 7-1-0 while averaging 3.38 goals for per game.


Nilsson stopped all 29 shots the he faced in the Canucks shutout win in Minnesota on Tuesday. Nilsson has two shutouts in his three starts with one stinker in between. Nilsson has impressed early on, but has a tough matchup tonight vs. the visiting Capitals.

Price stopped 26 of 27 shots in the Canadiens win over the Panthers on Tuesday. It was the first Price-like performance since opening night and gives Price his second with in eight tries. The Canadiens have been getting unlucky to kick-off the season, but Price needs to be better and he will be in tough tonight vs. the Kings.

Kinkaid allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Devils’ 3-0 loss to the Sharks last Friday. With Cory Schneider a little banged up, Kinkaid will start the front-end of their back-to-back. In three appearances this season, Kinkaid has stopped 68 of 73 shots (.932 SV%), but tonight he faces the NHL’s No.5 offence (3.60 GF/PG).

Crawford allowed four goals on 33 shots in the Blackhawks loss in Vegas on Tuesday. Crawford has now lost three of his last five starts while posting a 2.81 GAA and .915 SV%. Tonight he faces the Predators for the second time this season—he stopped 37 of 38 shots in a 2-1 overtime win on October 14th.
