Neuvirth (knee) returned as the backup on Thursday.

Neuvirth has been sidelined with a knee injury since March 16th, but backed-up Steve Mason on Thursday. This leaves the Flyers in a bit of a difficult spot. Who to start in a must-win game on Saturday? Steve Mason has played very well with Neuvirth out, but is coming off of a loss to the Maple Leafs on Saturday. Expect Neuvirth to start either Saturday or Sunday though.

The Canucks have recalled Mike Zalewski from Utica (AHL).

Zalewski, 23, has only appeared in two NHL games this season, registering a single assist. He has spent the majority of the year in Utica, where he has 30 points (14G / 16A) in 55 games.

Mike Zalewski
Fabbri (ankle) will return to the lineup on Saturday.

Fabbri has missed the last four games with an ankle injury, but will return to the lineup in the season finale on Saturday. Fabbri has enjoyed a lot of success this season, registering 18 goals and 19 assists (37 points) in 71 games.

Robby Fabbri
Elliott will start the Blues' season finale.

Elliott allowed one goal on 25 shots in the Blues win in Chicago on Thursday. Since retuning to the Blues’ crease, Elliott has won six of seven starts while posting a 1.34 GAA , .924 and three shutouts. Tonight he faces the Capitals on home ice, where he is 11-3-3 with a 2.20 GAA and .927 SV% at Scottrade Center this season.

Brian Elliott
Talbot wil start the Oilers' season finale.

Talbot allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Oilers win over the Canucks in the final game at Rexall Place. Talbot has gone 21-27-4 with a 2.55 GAA and .917 SV% in his first season with the Oilers. Tonight he faces the Canucks again—he is 2-0-1 with a 1.31 GAA and .956 SV% in three starts vs. Vancouver this season.

Cam Talbot
Stalberg (undisclosed) will not play Saturday vs. the Red Wings.

Stalberg is banged up with unknown ailment and will be held out of the lineup in the Rangers’ season finale on Saturday. He is listed as day-to-day, but should be ready for the start of the playoffs.

Viktor Stalberg
Raanta will start Saturday vs. the Red Wings.

Raanta stopped 20 of 21 shots that he has faced in his last two relief appearances on Thursday and March 2nd. He will be making his first start since March 26th, closing out the Rangers season against a desperate Red Wings team. Raanta comes in having gone 10-6-2 with a 2.26 GAA, .918 SV% and one shutout in 17 starts and seven relief appearances in 2015-16.

Antti Raanta
Vanek (upper-body) will miss at least one more week.

Vanek will miss his third straight game on Saturday and it sounds like he will miss at least the first few games of the playoffs as well. The veteran winger has 18 goals and 23 assists (41 points) in 74 games this season.

Thomas Vanek
Parise (maintenance) is not expected to be in the lineup on Saturday.

Parise missed Friday’s practice and is not expected to be in the lineup in the season finale. With the Wild locked into the playoffs, there is no reason to risk an injury to their top forward. Jason Zucker will take his spot on the top line.

Zach Parise
Howard will start Saturday vs. the Rangers.

Howard was pulled after allowing five goals on 26 shots in the Bruins 5-2 loss to the Bruins on Thursday. Howard has gone 4-2-0 with a 2.39 GAA, .914 SV% and one shutout in the Red Wings last six games and today he starts a must-win in New York. He stopped 29 of 30 shots in an OT loss in his first game vs. the Rangers and New York comes in shorthanded this afternoon.

Jimmy Howard
The Devils have recalled Pavel Zacha from Sarnia (OHL).

Zacha, 19, was the Devils first round pick (6th overall) in 2015 and has finished up his second season with Sarnia. In 51 regular season games he collected 64 points (28G / 36A) and 13 points (6G / 7A) in seven playoff games. Look for him to make his NHL debut in the Devils’ season finale.

Pavel Zacha
Girardi (upper-body) missed Friday’s practice; questionable for Saturday’s season finale.

Girardi suffered an upper-body injury on Tuesday and missed Thursday’s game vs. the Islanders. With the Rangers having little to nothing to play for in Saturday’s game, expect him to sit out in an attempt to be ready for Game 1 of the playoffs.

The Red Wings have recalled Joakim Andersson from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Andersson, 27, has split his time between the Red Wings and the Griffins this season. He has just three points (1G / 2A) in 28 games with Detroit and three goals, two assists in 19 games with Grand Rapids. There’s no word if his recall is injury related or if the Red Wings are looking to get a more defensive minded player on their fourth line in Saturday’s season finale.
