Raanta will start Saturday vs. Montreal.

Raanta stopped all five shots that he faced after replacing Henrik Lundqvist in the Rangers loss to the Sharks last Saturday. Raanta has gone 3-1-0 with a 2.22 GAA and .924 SV% in March and 5-2-1 with a 2.34 GAA and .919 SV% on the road this season. He makes for a strong spot-start vs. a banged up Canadiens team.

Wedgewood will start again on Friday.

Wedgewood stopped all 39 shots that he faced in the Devils shutout win over the Penguins last night. Despite a heavy workload, he will start again tonight vs. the Capitals. He has won each of his first two NHL starts while sipping 66 of 67 shots (.985 SV%). He faces a Washington team that has won three of their last four.

Kruger (wrist) will return to the Blackhawks lineup on Saturday.

Kruger has been sidelined since December 17th after undergoing surgery to repaid a dislocated wrist. The fourth-line centre is a key member of the Blackhawks penalty kill but provides no fantasy help. He has just one assist in 33 games this season.

Crawford (upper-body) will not travel on the Blackhawks four-game road-trip.

Crawford has missed the last four games and will miss at least four more games with an upper-body injury. Scott Darling gets the nod on Saturday and Michael Leighton could get a start on the road-trip. Crawford won’t be available until the team returns home for their April 3rd meeting with the Bruins.

Darling will start Saturday in Calgary.

Darling was pulled after allowing four goals on 15 shots in the Blackhawks loss to the Stars on Tuesday. Despite losing three of his last four while posting a 2.61 GAA and .915 SV%, Darling will make his fifth consecutive starts tonight in Calgary. The 27-year-old has gone 1-0-1 with a 1.48 GAA and .952 SV% in two starts against the Flames.

Lessio (lower-body) will not play Saturday vs. the Rangers.

Lessio suffered a lower-body injury after being hit by Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey on Thursday. He will come out of the lineup on Saturday, being replacing by Jacob De La Rose.

Condon will start Saturday vs. the Rangers.

Condon surrendered three goals on 35 shots in the Canadiens win over the Ducks on Tuesday. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Condon, who is 2-4-1 with a 2.98 GAA and .908 SV%. Condon has gone 10-12-3 with a 2.34 GAA and .913 SV% on home-ice and tonight he draws a rough matchup with the Rangers in town.

Boyes (upper-body) will return to the Maple Leafs lineup on Saturday.

Boyes has missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury, but will play Saturday vs. the Bruins. With Boyes returning, the Maple Leafs sent Josh Leivo back to Toronto (AHL). Boyes has eight goals and 14 assists (22 points) in 51 games this season.

Bernier will start Saturday vs. the Bruins.

Bernier stopped 23 of 25 shots in the Maple Leafs win over the Flames on Monday. Garret Sparks got the call on Thursday, so they’ll come back with Bernier tonight vs. the Bruins. Bernier has won three of his last four starts while posting a 1.27 GAA, .958 SV% and one shutout. Bernier has heated up and tonight he faces a Bruins team that has lost five consecutive games.

The Devils will not hold a morning skate on Friday. Head coach John Hynes is expected to announce his starter when he address the media around 4:40 p.m. ET.

After Thursday's game, Hynes said he was undecided on who would start after Wedgewood posted a 39-save shutout vs. the Penguins. He has stopped 66 of 67 shots since being called-up.

Carlson (lower-body) travelled to New Jersey and could return to the lineup on Friday.

Carlson has been sidelined by a lower-body since February 24th, but it looks like he will return to the lineup tonight in New Jersey. Carlson’s status will not be known until head coach Barry Trotz meets with the media around 5 p.m. ET. Carlson has 31 points (6G / 25A) in 47 games this season.

The Jets have recalled Brenden Kichton from Manitoba (AHL).

Kichton, 23, was picked by the Jets in the seventh round (190th overall) in 2013. The blueliner has never appeared in an NHL game, but has picked up 34 points (9G / 25A) in 62 games with Manitoba. He could make his NHL debut on Saturday.

The Jets have reassigned Scott Kosmachuk to Manitoba (AHL).

Kosmachuk appeared in eight games with the Jets during his call-up, picking up three assists while averaging 11:32 TOI. He returns to Manitoba where he has 27 points (14G / 13A) in 59 games.

Subban is nearing a return to the Canadiens lineup, but they will not rush him, so he will be held out of his eighth consecutive game on Saturday. Monitor his status prior to next Tuesday’s game vs. the Red Wings.
