Bartley has picked up two goals and two assists in 10 games with St. John’s since being acquired from Nashville. This is his first stint with the Canadiens, but has appeared in one NHL game this season and 112 games since 2012. He has 23 career points (1G / 22A) and will likely remain with the Habs with Tom Gilbert (knee) out for the season.
Gilbert was scratched from Monday’s game and listed as day-to-day, but the Canadiens announced that he will need to undergo knee surgery, which will end his 2015-16 season. With Gilbert out, the Habs have recalled Victor Bartley from St. John’s (AHL).
Rinne allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Predators 2-1 OT loss to the Kings on Saturday. He has had two strong outings in a row, stopping 57 of 59 shots (.966 SV%) en route to a 1-0-1 record. Tonight he faces the Canadiens for the second time this season—in the first meeting he stopped 35 of 36 shots in a 5-1 win.
