The Red Wings have sent Kindl to Grand Rapids to create a roster spot and salary space for Niklas Kronwall to be activated from IR for tonight’s game vs. the Blue Jackets. Kindl has three points (2G / 1A) in nine games with the Griffins this season.
Kucherov missed Monday’s game with a lower-body injury, but took part in today’s morning skate and is listed as a game-time decision. If Kucherov can’t play, look for Jonathan Marchessault to skate on the Lightning’s second line.

The Maple Leafs continue to tear their team down, making Reimer nearly impossible to trust.
Elliott started 18 consecutive games while Jake Allen was out, but left last night’s game, which was the first in which Allen was back as his backup. There is no word on how serious Elliott’s injury is, but look for Jake Allen to start every game until Elliott is back.
Bartley has picked up two goals and two assists in 10 games with St. John’s since being acquired from Nashville. This is his first stint with the Canadiens, but has appeared in one NHL game this season and 112 games since 2012. He has 23 career points (1G / 22A) and will likely remain with the Habs with Tom Gilbert (knee) out for the season.
Gilbert was scratched from Monday’s game and listed as day-to-day, but the Canadiens announced that he will need to undergo knee surgery, which will end his 2015-16 season. With Gilbert out, the Habs have recalled Victor Bartley from St. John’s (AHL).
Rinne allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Predators 2-1 OT loss to the Kings on Saturday. He has had two strong outings in a row, stopping 57 of 59 shots (.966 SV%) en route to a 1-0-1 record. Tonight he faces the Canadiens for the second time this season—in the first meeting he stopped 35 of 36 shots in a 5-1 win.
