Oilers making a goalie change, Talbot starts in Anaheim not Nilsson.

Talbot stopped 34 of 36 shots in the Oilers 2-1 loss to the Kings last night. Anders Nilsson was originally slated to start, but Talbot will go on back-to-back nights after losing his last five starts. During his five-game losing skid, Talbot has posted a 3.09 GAA and .896 SV%, but it is hard to blame him with the way the Oilers have played.

The Wild did not have a morning skate on Friday, so head coach John Torchetti is expected to announce his starter when he meets with the media around 5:00 p.m ET.

Dubnyk allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Wild’s loss to the Flyers last night and has started three games in the last five nights which means that Darcy Kuemper could get the call in Washington.

Johnson starts Friday in San Jose.

Johnson allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Sabres win over the Habs back on February 12th. Robin Lehner has started the last five games, but they’ll turn to Johnson tonight in San Jose. Johnson is 6-9-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .914 SV% on the road and allowed two goals on 32 shots in a 2-1 OT loss in his first start vs. San Jose.

Jones starts Friday vs. the Sabres.

Jones allowed three goals on 41 shots in the Sharks shootout loss in Colorado on Wednesday. Jones has allowed a combined 10 goals on 105 shots (.905 SV%), but he comes in having won five of his last seven. Jones stopped 30 of 31 shots in the Sharks win over the Sabres back in November and Buffalo comes in tonight after being shutout by the Ducks on Wednesday.

Rask starts Friday in Carolina.

Rask stopped 41 of 42 shots in the Bruins 5-1 win in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Rask stood on his head to earn his 23rd win of the season and third in four games. Tonight will be Rask’s 45th start of the season and it comes in Carolina. He is 13-5-3 with a 2.10 GAA and .932 SV% on the road this season and the Hurricanes are coming off of a 3-1 loss to the lowly Maple Leafs last night.

Andersen starts Friday vs. Edmonton.

Andersen stopped all 26 shots that he faced in the Ducks shutout win over the Sabres on Wednesday. Andersen has won four straight starts while posting a 2.47 GAA, /915 SV% and one shutout. The 26-year-old has gone 1-0-1 with a 3.46 GAA and .870 SV% in two starts vs. the Oilers this season, but disregard though numbers, Andersen should be a safe start tonight.

The Hurricanes will not hold a morning skate on Friday. Head coach Bill Peters is expected to address the media around 5:00 p.m ET and should announce his starter then.

Ward started last night and allowed three goals on 29 shots in the the Hurricanes loss to the Maple Leafs. Carolina could go back to Ward or turn to Eddie Lack for the first time since February 18th.

Bishop will start Friday in New Jersey.

Bishop allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Lightning’s win in Carolina on Sunday. Andrei Vasilevskiy started on Tuesday, but the Lightning will go back to Bishop tonight in New Jersey. He has won two in a row while stopping 66 of 70 (.943 SV%). Bishop has not faced the Devils this season, but come in at 5-3-0 with a 2.66 GAA and .910 SV% in February.

Bonino (hand) will return to the Penguins lineup on Saturday.

Bonino has been sidelined with a hand injury since January 12th, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Jets. Bonino has just 10 points (3G / 7A) in 40 games in his first season with the Penguins. Before he starts producing at a higher rate, Bonino shouldn’t be on your fantasy radar.

Malkin (lower-body) will return to the Penguins lineup on Saturday.

Malkin missed 10 games with a knee injury, but will return to the Penguins lineup on Saturday vs. the Jets. Malkin has 23 goals and 26 assists (49 points) in 52 games this season and should be activated in all formats. The Jets have given up 17 goals in their last four games, so this matchup offers a lot of promise for Malkin.

The Predators have signed Anthony BItetto to a two-year, $1.225M ($612.5K AAV) contract extension.

Bitetto, 25, has appeared in the Predators last 11 games and has one assist in 17 games for the club in 2015-16. Paired with seven games during three recalls a season ago, the Island Park, New York, native has one point (1A) in 24 career NHL games, all with Nashville.

The Lightning have signed Braydon Coburn to a three-year, $11.1M ($3.7M AAV) contract extension.

Coburn, 30, has picked up one goal and eight assists (nine points) in 60 games this season. Coburn was a pending free agent at the end of the season, but is now signed through the 2018-19 season. His new deal comes with a no trade clause.

The Maple Leafs have activated Jared Cowen (hip) from IR.

Cowen has missed eight games with hip tightness after being acquired from the Senators on February 9th. Cowen, who has four assists in 37 games this season could make his Maple Leafs debut on Saturday.
