Raanta allowed four goals on 23 shots in the Rangers loss to the Capitals back on January 17th. He hasn’t played since and has only started nine games this season. Despite a lack of playing time behind Henrik Lundqvist, Raanta has played well when called upon. The 26-year-old has gone 4-4-1 with a 2.30 GAA and .909 SV% on the year and it looks like he will take on a Kings team that lost last night.

"80 percent chance that Varly" starts tonight in Detroit.

Varlamov allowed three goals on 29 shots in Colorado’s win over the Senators last night. Coach Roy said he would check in with Varlamov to make sure he is good to go tonight and said there’s an 80 percent chance he goes again. Varlamov has started the last three, allowing a combined 10 goals on 96 shots (.896 SV%) while going 1-2-0.

Rask leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Rask gave up five goals on 32 shots before being pulled in the Bruins 9-2 loss to the Kings on Tuesday. It was a tough night for the entire Bruins squad, who left Rask hung out to dry. Tonight he will look to bounce back in Winnipeg—Rask is an impressive 10-4-3 with a 1.89 GAA and .939 SV% on the road this season.

Lehtonen allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Stars win in Minnesota on Tuesday. It was an outstanding effort from Lehtonen, who notched his first win since January 7th. Lehtonen draws a rough matchup vs. the Blackhawks tonight, but catches a small break with Artemi Panarin out of the lineup.

Varlamov will start in goal for the Avalanche.

Varlamov allowed three goals on 28 shots in Colorado’s loss to the Canucks on Tuesday. He has lost his last two starts while allowing seven goals on 67 shots (.896 SV%). Tonight he will look for redemption against the Senators—he was pulled after allowing three goals on 15 shots in their first meeting.

Enroth stopped 14 of 15 shots after replacing Jonathan Quick in the Kings loss to the Ducks last Thursday. With Quick sidelined, Enroth will start tonight in Brooklyn. He hasn’t played much this season (eight starts) but has played well when called upon—he comes in at 4-3-1 with a 2.11 GAA and .931 SV%.

Stalock allowed three goals on 17 shots in Sharks shootout loss to the Senators back on January 18th. Martin Jones has started the last eight games, but Stalock looks to go tonight vs. the Flames. Stalock has gone 1-2-1 with a 2.18 GAA and .899 SV% on home ice this season, but makes for a decent spot-start tonight.

The Sabres recalled Justin Bailey from Rochester (AHL) and is expected to make his NHL debut.

Bailey, 20, was a second round pick (52nd overall) in 2013. The 6-foot-4, 206 lbs. winger has picked up 10 goals and 13 assists (23 points) in 47 games with Rochester (AHL) this season. He is expected to make his NHL debut on the Sabres fourth line tonight.

Cowen will not make his Maple Leafs debut tonight because of tightness in his hips. Martin Marincin was expected to come out, but he will now play with Cowen heading to the press box for the second time since being traded.
