Barkov picked up one assist in 12:12 TOI before leaving last night’s win over the Jets with an upper-body injury. Barkov has been all but ruled out of Saturday’s game but the Panthers are hopeful that he will play Monday vs. the Red Wings. Their optimism suggests that the injury is very minor so it looks like Barkov owners have dodged a bullet.

Reimer has now given up at least three gaols in five straight appearances and seven of his last eight games, but it was enough to record his fifth win of 2017-18. Cory Schneider was handed the loss last night, so Kinkaid gets the call for his eighth start of the season tonight in New York. Despite a 5-2-1 record, Kinkaid has proven to be a risky spot-start option this season, but he did stop 29 of 31 shots in a 3-2 win in New York back in October.
