It was Quick’s 40th career shutout, tying him with John Vanbiesbrouck and Frank Brimsek for the most by an American-born goalie. Quick has been excellent in December, going 8-2-0 with a 2.07 GAA and .922 SV%. He will face the Oilers for the third time, he has won each of the first two meetings with a 2.50 GAA and .906 SV%.

Lehtonen stopped all 22 shots that he faced in the Stars’ 3-0 shutout win over the Blues on Sunday. Lehtonen has been pulled twice this month, but sits 3-1-0 with a 2.61 GAA and .903 SV% in December. He is a must-start on Tuesday in Columbus—he stopped 34 shots in a 5-1 win in his first meeting with the Blue Jackets.

Rask allowed two goals on 21 shots in the Bruins 3-1 loss in Ottawa on Sunday. Tonight they will close out a home-and-home with the Senators and it looks like Rask will get the call again. He has lost his last two starts, but overall, December has been a good month for him—he’s gone 5-2-2 with a 1.38 GAA and .953 SV%.

Hellebuyck stopped all 30 shots that he faced in the Jets shutout win over the Penguins on Sunday. It was Hellebuyck’s first career NHL shutout and sixth win in nine starts. Tonight he will face a Red Wings team that played last night—Hellebuyck comes into play with a 5-1-0 record, 1.98 GAA and .935 SV% at the MTS Centre since being called up.

Gibson allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Ducks win over the Flyers on Sunday. Gibson snapped a three-game losing streak for Gibson, who is 3-3-1 with a 2.06 GAA and .914 SV% in December. Tonight Gibson will see the Flames for the second time—he stopped 19 of 20 shots after replacing Anton Khudobin in a 5-3 win back in late November.

In his first start vs. the Ducks, he gave up four goals on 31 shots in a 5-3 loss.

Talbot allowed one goal on seven shots after replacing Anders Nilsson in the Oilers loss in Calgary on Sunday. Talbot has gone 2-1-1 with a 2.27 GAA and .938 SV% in December. Tonight he will make his third start against Kings—in the first two starts, Talbot went 0-2-0 with a 3.56 GAA and .887 SV%.
