The Canadiens have acquired Dustin Tokarski from the Ducks for Max Friberg.

Tokarski has gone 1-3-0 with a 3.18 GAA and .878 SV% with the Canadiens this season and 3-3-4 with a 2.84 GAA and .909 SV% with St. John’s (AHL). Acquiring Tokarski gives the Ducks four NHL-read net minders, John Gibson, Frederik Andersen, Anton Khudobin and Tokarski. The chances of the Ducks actually carrying all four seem slim, so expect them to have another move up their sleeve, likely moving Khudobin so he can play in the NHL.

The Senators have reassigned David Dziurzynski to Binghamton (AHL).

Dziurzynski has been a healthy scratch in the last three games and with the returns of Milan Michalek and Cody Ceci, the Senators needed to clear some room on the roster. Dziurzynski had three assists in 12 games with the Senators.

The Avalanche have placed Brandon Gormley on waivers.

Gormley was a healthy scratch in the last two games and has been placed on waivers after just 26 games with the Avalanche. He has just one assist on the season and his placement on IR suggests that Andrew Bodnarchuk will remain with the Avalanche. The former 13th overall pick will likely be claimed off of waivers.

Brandon Gormley
Hellebuyck will start Thursday vs. the Stars.

Hellebuyck stopped 43 of 44 shots in the Jets win over the Predators on Tuesday. Hellebuyck has been excellent in his last five starts, going 4-1-0 with a 1.21 GAA, .962 SV% and one shutout. The young netminder has asserted himself as one of the top young goalies in the NHL. Tonight he faces the NHL’s highest scoring team that has lost three straight games.

Connor Hellebuyck
Koivu (undisclosed) will play on Thursday vs. the Flyers.

Koivu was hospitalized during Tuesday’s game in Columbus, but was released later that night. Less than 48 hours after being hospitalized, Koivu was on the ice for the Wild’s morning skate and will be in the lineup vs. the Flyers. Koivu has just two goals and one assist in his last eight games.

Mikko Koivu
Dubnyk starts Thursday vs. the Flyers.

Dubnyk allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Wild’s win in Columbus on Tuesday. The win snapped a brief two-game losing skid for Dubnyk, who is now 17-11-3 on the season. Tonight he’ll face the Flyers are Xcel Energy Center—Dubnyk has gone 11-5-0 with a 2.02 GAA and .926 SV% on home ice this season.

Devan Dubnyk
Michalek (finger) will return to the Senators lineup on Thursday.

Michalek has not played since December 1st because of a fractured index finger. Prior to getting hurt, Michalek collected eight points (5G / 3A) in 24 games. He will skate with Mika Zibanejad and Mike Hoffman.

Milan Michalek
The Bruins have recalled David Pastrnak from Providence (AHL).

Pastrnak is expected to be in the lineup on Friday for the first time October 31st. Pastrnak was in practice on Thursday and skated on the top line with Patrice Bergeron and Loui Ericsson. Pastrnak has two goals and two assists (four points) in 10 games this season.

David Pastrnak
The Bruins have placed Adam McQuaid (upper-body) on IR.

McQuaid was injured in a hit from Zach Sill on Tuesday. Sill was suspended for two games as a result of the hit, but McQuaid will miss at least three after he was placed on IR on Thursday. With McQuaid out, look for Joe Morrow to get back into the lineup on Friday.

Adam McQuaid
Anderson starts Thursday vs. the Panthers.

Anderson allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Senators loss in Chicago on Sunday. Andrew Hammond started on Monday, but they Senators will go back to Anderson tonight vs. the red-hot Panthers. Florida has won 10 straight games, making Anderson a risky start tonight. He has gone 1-0-1 with a 1.44 GAA and .955 SV% in two starts against the Panthers this season.

Craig Anderson
Luongo will likely start on Thursday.

Luongo stopped 31 of 32 shots in the Panthers win in Buffalo on Tuesday. Luongo has now won eight straight starts while posting an impressive 1.23 GAA, .956 SV% and two shutouts. The Panthers are the hottest team in the NHL and Luongo is one of the best goalies available right now. He has gone 1-1-0 with a 1.93 GAA and .895 SV% in two starts against Ottawa this season.

Halak starts Thursday vs. the Capitals.

Halak has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury, but will return to the crease tonight against Washington. Halak and Thomas Greiss have formed a strong goaltending tandem for the Islanders this season and they will need him to be good tonight with the Capitals in town. Halak is 7-3-0 with a 2.22 GAA and .915 SV% on home ice.

Jaroslav Halak
Gibson left Wednesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Gibson was forced to leave the game in the first minute of the third period after Nazem Kadri collided with him. Frederik Andersen replaced Gibson, stopping 12 of 13 shots in the 4-0 loss. Gibson, who was named an All Star on Wednesday, should be considered day-to-day until the Ducks release further information.

John Gibson
Lehtonen is expected to start on Thursday.

Lehtonen allowed six goals on 44 shots in the Stars loss in Brooklyn on Tuesday. Lehtonen has had his rough outings this season, but still sits at 12-3-0 with a 2.85 GAA and .907 SV% on the year. Lehtonen will start against a Jets team that has struggled on the road this season—Lehtonen has gone 5-2-0 with a 2.71 GAA and .908 SV% at American Airlines Center this season.
