Allen will make his second start of the season against the Maple Leafs—he had a tough time in his first game, allowing four goals on 29 shots in a 4-1 loss back in November.

Griess has stepped up with Jaroslav Halak out, stopping 107 of 113 shots (.947 SV%) that he has faced in three consecutive starts. Tonight he draws a solid matchup against a Penguins team that has finally won three of their last five. Greiss is 6-2-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .939 SV% on the road.

Lack appears to be taking over as the Hurricanes starter, but tonight he faces the Predators on home ice, where he is an ugly 1-4-0 with a 3.25 GAA and .881 SV% on the season.
Johnson allowed four goals on 42 shots in the Sabres loss in Washington on Wednesday. Linus Ullmark got the call on Thursday, so the Sabres will go back to Johnson today vs. Detroit. Johnson played very well in his previous start against the Red Wings, stopping 32 of 33 shots in the 2-1 win.
